  1. I’ve been getting better results with a water pan with fat side up and I definitely wrap with butcher paper. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get any good pictures since everyone was ready to eat but this is all I was able to manage:
  2. I have a KJ and although a bit pricey, I plan to keep it forever (hopefully). One of the big advantages it has over the Green Egg is the number of accessories that already come with it and other accessories you can purchase later for it like a rotisserie. They're also known for their lifetime warranty on the ceramics and have great customer service (although they initially had some issues when Covid hit). One of the biggest advantages of the Kamado (Egg) is the versatility of cooks you can do. You can smoke meats, but can also grill like a kettle and even get the temps up pretty high and make pizzas. Here's a video of my jiggly brisket that everyone raved about:
  3. Free from 247 http://texas.247sports.com/Article/Texas-Longhorns-pro-day-Malcom-Brown-Jaxon-Shipley-Jordan-Hicks-36387250 With Little Malcolm running in the 4.3-4.4 range and Shipley running in the 4.4s according to that article, is it safe to say the track is a bit fast?
  4. I know you were half joking about Stidham, but are there any 5 star recruits committed to other schools that would have a good chance of starting for us against ND next season?
  5. Totally agree with this statement. Harris and Shipley are at the very least solid receivers. Imagine the years they would have had if we had a better OL and QB?
  6. I don't understand why we couldn't run any kind of quick WR screens with Daje or Foreman in order to get the ball in their hands rather than running the same predictable WR reverse. It doesn't really require the OL to block for too long. It just seemed Watson wasn't very creative in getting the ball into playmaker's hands.
  7. We probably need to score some points too.
  8. Whatever happened to the talks of us getting Tim Brewster?
  9. I believe Scipio Tex also thought he could be another E.J. Bibbs from ISU (scored two TDs against us this year). Now wouldn't it be great to have that kind of weapon on offense?
  10. So with this whole Malik wearing gear for his top 3. Saw the tweets with Texas and Ucla gear but didn't see the one with aTm gear.......hmmmmmmmm
  11. As much as I want your statement to be true, unfortunately he's still interviewing there. There's still at least a minute chance he could leave to run his own gig.
  12. 3rd grade thank you very much! I think I got my answer in another thread. As with everyone else, great to have you back Darrell!
  13. That game was tough to watch and Swoopes made way too many mistakes. After that game it's hard to justify seeing him as the QB of the future, but his line didn't do him nor the RBs many favors. JT Barrett probably wouldn't have had made as many mistakes but I'm not sure he would have had a great game either with that kind of protection.
  14. Great points Matt, especially points #2 and #4. Barrett is playing with teammates who are a part of a ranked team plus Barrett has had time to learn the offense. Swoopes on the other hand is learning a new offense along with his teammates.
  15. For selfish reasons I'd love for him to stay. He can leave once he has an overall losing record versus Texas, courtesy of Charlie F Strong.
  16. No offense taken and I stand corrected. As STP has stated above, I think our D is in great hands with Strong and Bedford and is probably performing at least if not better than Robinson's D of last year.
  17. Greg Robinson was a good defensive coordinator, but I'm not quite sure he's the defensive guru y'all are making him out to be. Our defense last year didn't hold up so well against Oklahoma State, Baylor and Oregon.
  18. Although a lot of people hate him on this board for whatever reason, Chip Brown on his morning radio show says Doyle has been moved to center.
  19. Good article! One thing not mentioned is the need for improved linebacker play to stop the run. Stopping the run needs to be one of if not top priorities for our defense.
