All this food you guys are cooking and grubbing on looks incredible!  I could go for a Lukus pork butt or 3 or 4 of those joeywa ribs about right now... I'm starving.

On the Robbie Rhodes issue....  that's a darn shame.  I wish Texas would have pursued him early and grabbed him - he is a deadly receiver with a ton of upside and he played at my high school (Southwest HS - Fort Worth, Texas).

Finished up the ribs from today just a while ago.

Now I'm waiting for the go ahead from the Mrs to bring them in for supper. I may start eating these soon if she doesn't speak up. Lol

    Final Book:

    Texas 2/6/1
    WVU 0/11/1

    WP: Hollingsworth
    SV: Curtiss
    LP: Vance

Tres thought the WVU coaches were stealing signs, Tres was telling hitters what may happen to them if they keep that shit up.  I'm sure he was telling them that one of them would be earholed.  LMAO!!

Nice win for the Longhorns. Let's take the series tomorrow. WV has a good RPI, so a series win tomorrow on the road will be big for our resume.

He can't locate his A pitch.  This is like tournament style pitching.  You need this win.  You don't have time to screw around with a P trying to find location.

*****NOTE***** Dillon Peters will miss Saturday's scheduled start due to a salivary duct stone.  He is in Austin, and is listed day-to-day. Dillon did not make the trip to Morgantown yesterday.

French will still go tonight, but I'm not sure how the rotation will go from there.  Will Thornhill get the Saturday start?  Will we go with Schiraldi at some point?  Not sure at this point.  I'll keep y'all updated as this plays out.

    Tonight's matchup:
Jr. LHP Harrison Musgrave (4-3, 1.95) vs. Jr. RHP Parker French (5-3, 2.08)

Today's game is an hour ealier than usual; 5 PM CST.

The only video I've see available in on the WVU website.  I don't know yet if it's PPV or free.

Also, KVET 1300 will carry the game.

Due to the early start, I'll do some PBP.  I've got a 6 PM CST HS game to be at, and may ask for a bit of help if need be, so stay tuned.

joeywa got a reaction from Lukus Alderman in Cystic Fibrosis Great Stride-HornSports, you can help (long)
Alright my HS brethren, please bear with me a bit. I don't normally post things like this, so I appreciate you letting me have a few minutes of your time.

My nephew, Payton, is 11 and has Cystic Fibrosis. I've attached a pic of him at Disch last Friday. (By the way, I'm seriously contemplating holding him personally responsible for us only taking 1 out of 3 last weeked, since he only went to Friday's game. Had a baseball tourney to play in Dripping over the weekend. Clearly his priorities need adjusting! )

My younger brother and our Texas family participate in several CF fund raisers each year, but this is the largest one. I am posting this and asking if you are able, and would like to, please support the CF Foundation and Payton in this event. Any amount helps and your generous gift will be used efficiently and effectively, as nearly 90 cents of every dollar of revenue raised is available for investment in vital CF programs to support research, care and education.

Your donation is 100% tax deductible.

If you are in the DFW area and would like to support the team by walking in the event, that is absolutely encouraged and appreciated as well. My family will be there. The walk is held on May 18th in Arlington at Six Flags.

Here's the link to their page with the information. Please take a second to read this, as it gives you an idea of the challenges faced by a child with CF.

Here is a bit more about CF from Payton's page.

    "Our Great Strides Story

Join our team and help add tomorrows!

There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. We walk for them. Will you join us? All we need you to do to become a member of our team is click on the "Join our Team" button. From there you can make a donation and start your fundraising.

By becoming a member of our team and making a donation, you are joining a growing group of people committed to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. Together, we are adding tomorrows to the lives of people living with CF by supporting the search for a cure.

Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families."

Whether you donate, walk, or merely read this and become more aware of CF, I would like to thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
