  1. False. RB coach Is by far the easiest on field coaching job. Your main job is to coach them up, it’s not like you did an exceptional job that someone else can do. 50 Percent of the job is being an ace recruiter and she has a C average.
  2. i think he will be gone in Jan 2020. He hasnt done his job in recruiting since he has been at Texas. thats a fact
  3. Nice stats. OL is the hardest to evaluate imo also. First of all , most people can’t eval OL technique, OL usually need time to develop strength, body wt, technique. Only think most armature evaluators can tell is attitude/mean streak. Sometimes the already big lineman are going to bully around someone 70lbs lighter but can’t do it when wt is same. Some are already maxed out so they might be a good HS player but don’t progress after that. Saying all that, you want 5*&4* players as much as u can get. Karic is everything you want in a OL prospect if you can stash him for 2+ years.
  4. As far as long term potential he is the best. Most agile and athletic. All have some nastiness and mean SOB in them. All need at least 20+ lbs of good wt but they have 25 months before they should see a glimmer of a college football snap. And hopefully 37 months before a truly meaningful snap.
  5. That’s perfect trajectory. Like someone said, OT you build up with weight
  6. Agree 100% with Tyler. If Lindberg is an OG then sure. I don’t want him coming here wanting to only be an OT and transfer out but I guess no harm in adding more talented players, of course. Will it cost us a 6th lineman in 2021 from committing? like a top OG prospect, I wouldn’t want that.
  7. Sure we could but is Lindberg better than any of the top 7-8 guys we are after in 2021? Maybe 6th-7th guy he is equal to. Would rather stay at 4 in 2020 so we can get 6 in 2021. Same with DL, rather stay at 3, 4 max in 2020. But I know the bird in hand rule. Haha
  8. He moves very very well and really good flexibility and base. He just looks bigger than 240lbs. Not 280 big but he isn’t 240 per his film. Anyone has his updates measurables? Love the take and he will have the chance to redshirt Bc we have built depth at OT.
  9. Not sure what his testing numbers are but appears to have good speed and is physical more than anything. Good tackling form frequently. Need to see more in coverage but not a liability with the small sample size
  10. Large OL and still has 2 more years left in HS. Moves very well, will easily be able to pull in our system. Imo, he is a OG long term at 330 lbs but can definitely play RT. Physical but not many big guys in front of him per his hudl. Great get for us! Hope he and Milroe can bring his teammate OG Foster
  11. i would not say he has completely lost his spot but if things go really south with Collins he would be considered but i dont think it likely PU will be a Longhorn. We need to take 3 this year, in a small class and 5 next year in a big class. (there are already 5-6 guys in '21 that are as good as PU)
  12. True. Thompson has been flirting with the portal so I’m not confident him sticking around 2 more years(assuming Sam stays for SR year). But I agree with most of y’alls points.
  13. Agree, he is very talented. His ball placement is elite vs poor competition. He has all the tools on tape. Would of course love to take both but a)not sure Stone want to be QB2 in any class b)Milroe eliminated Aggie and Bama after they both got a QB in their class also so he might not want a 2nd QB either I’m fine with Milroe, read he has a great mental makeup and he realistically has a minimum of 3 years before he sees the field in Burnt Orange. Everything will improve from a mechanics and seeing the field standpoint
  14. That’s more than just really good news. White can flat out play, by far the best LB in the state in 2020. He is darn good.
  15. Would love the commitment but ideally want him to wait until the weekend and pull a Roschon
  16. Its equavillant to BC’s “shhh” emoji but better
  17. This is too much good news overload, not sure I can handle it all. Also. don’t let Aggie hear you say anything about Herman and kissing anyone. Lsu will be the most talented team Texas has faced in a long long time. Maybe since 2010 Bama. Never will be sold in an EddieO coaches team but >6 1st and 2nd round draft picks on D as starters right now. And I love their WRs(J Chase #1 will be the best WR we face all year). They are beatable but talented. Just got my tickets, can’t wait for that one!
  18. Love both players. Athletic outside TE/maybe LJH type but I think JD grows to 240#. Stud DT QB1, who has a lot of Houston ties
  19. I know I’m in the minority, but not a fan at all
  20. Milroe played pretty good competition. Saw Milroe hudl and he is pretty darn good dual threat. He does need a lot of work for arm mechanics and footwork to really be elite. Has a really good feel for QB. Heard he is a very hard worker and leader. He is easily better than any QB Herman had at UH and that’s saying something Bc Ward was darn good. He can run and has some wiggle but isn’t blazing fast. I know Stone plays private school ball but what’s his competition like?
