From the moment Texas (28-1) took the court in Omaha for the NCAA National Championship, it was evident why they have been the favorite to beat this year. This Longhorn team dominated from the outset and swept the first time ACC team, Louisville Cardinals (31-3), in the title match.

Texas racked up 48 kills and limited their errors to nine while Louisville earned 36 kills and succumb to 16 errors. NCAA Most Outstanding Player and AVCA National Player of the Year, Logan Eggleston (OH), led the Longhorns against the Cardinals with 19 kills, followed by AVCA All American, Madisen Skinner (OH), with nine. This unstoppable team effort was rounded out by two AVCA All Americans, Zoe Fleck, who also earned All Big 12 Libero of the Year, defending the back line and All Big 12 Setter of the Year, Saige Ka’aha’aina-Torres, cranking out flawless opportunities to her hitters.

This season proved to cultivate the most cohesive and consistent team Texas has produced in recent memory. Relentless and only losing 14 sets out of 100 played this fall, it is Head Coach, Jerritt Elliott, who led this team to secure the programs third NCAA National Champion title.
