Wide Receiver Jordan Whittington is set to return to Texas next season, as first reported by ESPN's Pete Thamel and confirmed by Whittington via his Twitter account.
Whittington, a 5-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting class, had his most productive season this year as a junior. He started in 12 of Texas' 13 games and caught 50 passes for 652 yards with one touchdown. In his first three seasons with the Longhorns, Whittington played in just 14 games due to injury and started in five of those tallying 600 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
His return would bolster a wide receiving corps that struggled at times down the stretch, but returns a cadre of players with tremendous experience and talent.
