In spite of 15 service errors (pet peeve of mine), Texas beat Nebraska in Omaha 3-1 to advance to the Final Four. Skylar Fields led the way for the Horns with 18 kills on 27 attempts with only 1 error for an amazing hitting percentage of .630! Next up is #1 seed and undefeated Wisconsin this Thursday at 9pm. Texas has a good shot to beat the Badgers but they have to improve the service errors and serve receive. Example, in the set they lost, in one stretch late in the set they had 4 service errors in 5 attempts at service. Good luck ladies!5 points

Photo: Texas Athletics Texas pitcher Pete Hansen pitched 8 1/3 innings on Tuesday night at Bobcat Park in San Marcos, leading the Longhorn Baseball team to a 5-1 victory over Texas State. The win was the 14th straight for Texas, which is currently ranked No. 3 in the country. Hansen gave up three hits, struck out four and gave up one earned run in the winning effort. The Bobcats scored their lone run in the first inning on a sacrifice fly. The Longhorns added two runs in the third inning on Mike Antico and Zach Zubia RBI's respectively. In the Minneapolis trial where a police officer is facing charges for shooting a male civilian there recently, BLM is setting the stage using threats against the judge, threats against the prosecutor, protesting outside the prosecutor's home for hours on end each night. Threats have been lodged against them from BLM, in the event justice should decide the shooting was justified. BLM is trying to force a preferred outcome, no matter what the evidence shows. Keep in mind these intimidation efforts began well before the trial began. So I ask you, what is the difference in BLM and the KKK?4 points -

I was just thinking about the roster this morning wondering where we stand. I’m liking the look of it so far. Still need to round it out, especially the frontcourt. Trending toward the look of a good team. I really thought this year was going to suck due to graduation and attrition. Kudos to Beard and his staff for the work they have done thus far!4 points -

Funny, This chart got me banned from SurlyHorns. hahaha what a bunch of morons. I had been a member going back to 2008 when ShaggyBevo was started or soon after. I mostly just posted on the "can you help me with this" board (or whatever it is called). The pathetic thing is that you can be as degenerate, vulgar and obscene as you want on that site and you will likely be upvoted... but if you take a decent, counter-woke, or conservative stand on something you have an even chance of being "neg" voted into banishment. I'm getting too old to care about such nonsense... but this graphic made me l3 points -

We share nothing in common with these fanatics. They desire something that we've spent the better part of 80 years fighting around the globe, spilling precious treasure doing so. There will be a "this is enough" moment and then it will be on like donkey kong. I hate it, but hey, we're not the ones pushing it. We'll just be the ones who end it.3 points -
Related to the note above, IT had some cool recruiting insight this morning on how Sark's new staff is operating based on what former players and special attendees have seen at practices. They basically said it's a constant barrage of recruiting ("it's full-on, every single second") via FaceTime/Zoom and phone calls where recruits are able to see what the team is doing and/or they're able to meet and talk to coaches while practice is live. It's also an operation of at least five different people as opposed to a ton of the recruiting being put on a single person like Carrington.3 points

Bet Biden never went hawg huntin’. All gun control does is remove guns from law abiding citizens. Criminals, by the very definition, don’t give a damn about any gun law. And to be clear, the Second Amendment is all about self defense, it has nothing to do with hunting. As long as it is legal, I have every right to defend myself with as much force as I deem necessary. Bet Biden is not reducing the ability of his body guards to defend him.3 points -

agree. but... In discussions, I dont get wrapped around 2nd Amendment semantics. Our rights do not come from the poorly titled "Bill of Rights." Quite a few early fathers were concerned that people would eventually think that the Bill of Rights defines our rights - and they were correct in their concerns. The BoR and the 2-A in particular were statements of (very important) values that some delegates wanted express in order to get their signature on the constitution. BoR aside, the more important issue is that NOWHERE in the constitution does it give the central government the power t2 points -

A surprising note per IT...they're hearing Texas has surged past OU recently in the recruitment of DE/LB Derrick Brown from Texarkana Texas High, and they're in a nice position headed into official visits. It's been a big group effort lead by multiple coaches including Sark, Kwiatkowski and Choate. https://247sports.com/player/derrick-brown-46110382/2 points -
Coleman was clutch for us in several games this past season. He would serve himself well to return to see what Beard can do with him. I don't think his stay in any post-college league is very long. Ramey...I agree...too unpredictable. Simms returning would almost be like RW returning for MB...but not as impactful. Still want him to return!2 points

So, if everything works out correctly by fall camp, Texas could have two experienced, former 5* LBs (Gaoteote and Davis)1 near 5* 2021 WR (Worthy) added to the roster? Along with the return of D. Overshown, J. Smith, D. Kerstetter and all the incoming Fr. This team is gonna be a lot more talented than what we see in the Spring game and that is very exciting. They did lose Mitchell and will likely lose Epps, but overall improved...on paper.2 points -

This clown is hanging on by a thread. No way he makes it 4 years, but hey that’s just the way Obama planned it. Ole Scranton Joe get in there and sign all the liberal socialism shit and then they put him on medical leave and up steps Kamala. He wanted Kamala and this was the only way to get her. She was running 1% in the DNC and didn’t even pull her own state. Americans are being taken for a ride with this BS. The DNC doesn’t have a fair nomination process and now they figured out how to win a general election without having the votes. They screwed Bernie twice. He had Hillary beat and Obama s2 points -
