The Texas Longhorns’ recruiting class of 2026 received a big boost following a massive recruiting weekend on the 40 Acres, with Petal, Mississippi native Corey Wells announcing his commitment to Sarkisian and company.
Petal, a 6-5, 300 lb. consensus 4-star recruit, was ranked as the12th best player in the state of Mississippi, the 33rd best defensive lineman in the country and the 274th best overall player in the nation.
He held offers from schools such as Michigan, LSU, Florida State, Ole Miss, Auburn, Texas A&M and Oklahoma.
Wells joins Dylan Berymon, who committed two days earlier, as defensive line commits in the class.
