2017 Recruit - Kaegun Williams

I was watching the Stephenville vs. Lubbock Cooper game last night on ESPN2 as I'm a bit bias for the boys in Navy and Gold. There were two players who stood out to me last night, not named Stidham. One was the Cooper QB Ehlers, who will likely be garnering some interest after last night's performance. But the one that I'm keying in on is Stephenville's Sophomore RB, Kaegun Williams.

This kid, as a sophomore, had more than just flashes of greatness. He bailed out Stidham on more than a few errant throws and if he found any open room, it was a guarantee that he was taking it to the house. He has good hands in the backfield and really showed off his poise on a few runs that should have ended well before he was brought to the ground. I have a feeling this kid is going to be a recruit we'll all want to keep an eye on. Interestingly enough, he only has one crystal ball thus far and it's favoring Texas.

Ehlers is 5-11 and 180. Probably a little small for the better D-1 programs, but he sure had an outstanding game last night. It was a fun high school game to watch. I can see why Stidham is such a good prospect as well.

Was also impressed by Williams. We need to keep an eye on him.

Perfect fit for Service Academies.

Williams will get some big D 1 offers I have a feeling. He was the best player on the field last night. I was also thoroughly impressed with that Ehlers kid. He's not the best athlete and doesn't have the best arm, but the kid is a gamer. All in all I think Stidham is a good prospect but I think he's drastically overrated (top 100 recruit but not the number 18 player in the country).

I hope that Ehlers kid gets some offers.
