I think it's disappointing they paired TTU and TCU in the first round. They could have done a better job than that. I'm certain it's due to seeding and which team beat what team, but c'mon, two teams from the same conference!

 

Oh, fellas, how many teams from the greatest conference on earth, the SEC, made it to the CWS? What, can't hear you?

CWS, US Open & World Cup all happening this weekend......Party at joeywa's. 1st keg is on me.

AND, as street mentioned, Father's Day, AND my daughter's HS graduation. 

 

Come on over.  We'll have brisket, country style ribs and bacon wrapped pork skewers on the pit.  Keg of Shiner is still cold.  Party begins Saturday at noon PST.

Louisville is 10-0 in its last two years of Regionals and Supers. UL has 132 stolen bases, 2nd in the nation to Wofford's 152.

About Texas- UT is entering its 8th CWS since 2000, most in the nation in that span. The Horns also have a NCAA-leading 96 sacrifice bunts. The Longhorns are batting .268 with 21 HRs on the season as a team. Leading the way for the Longhorns are CF Mark Payton .326 2 HRs with 36 RBIs; DH Madison Carter .347, 1 HR 11 RBIs; SS C.J. Hinojosa .300 1 HR 33 RBIs. The team ERA is 2.32 and led by righties Nathan Thornhill (8-2, 1.57) and Parker French (6-5 2.45). The bullpen consists of RHP Morgan Cooper (4-2 2.98) and RHP John Curtiss (2-2 2.06 9 Saves).

perhaps, but nobody on UT's roster has ever won a game in Omaha and only a handful were there in '11. There might be some puckering all around.

 

So many people seem to miss this fact. The only experienced person on the Texas roster is the guy leading the dugout.

 

That gives the Horns a major advantage, IMO, but it's not 34 times greater.
