Juan 10,576
Tech got JARRETT STIDHAM Stephenville quarterback Jarrett Stidham is a Red Raider. The nation's top-ranked dual-threat quarterback committed to Texas Tech on Friday just days after wrapping up an unofficial visit to the program. "I had visited Tech and Lubbock before, but this visit was different," Stidham told RRS on Thursday. "I got to spend a lot of one on one time with the coaches, the entire staff was there and I mean everyone." "I watched game film of the Holiday Bowl with coach (Kliff) Kingsbury and coach (Eric) Morris. They went over some of the plays calls, the various formations, and some of the reads. I would say watching film with coach Kingsbury and getting to interact with him in the film room was one of my favorite parts of the visit." Stidham's relationship with Kingsbury was key in the Rivals100 prospect's recruitment. He told RRS in early February that a program's coaches and style of offense would be critical factors in his decision-making process. - See more at: http://texastech.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1617583#sthash.jPC6AHLa.dpuf'>http://texastech.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1617583#sthash.jPC6AHLa.dpuf http://texastech.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1617583

Juan 10,576
It appears we offered RB/ATH DeUnte Chatman (Humble): “Coach Robinson told me he loved my film,” said Chatman. “He said he loved my game but didn’t think I was legitimately the size I am until he saw me in person. He thought it was just my school padding my size a little bit. So when I showed up on Saturday and he saw me in person he told me that now he knows I’m truly that size and it changes things with my recruitment.” “They told me that now that they know how big I am, that they want a big running back as well for 2015,” Chatman told Horns247. “Coach Robinson said that we may be working something out real soon. I’m actually supposed to call them later this week to see what’s up. I’m very excited.” “Saturday’s visit made a big impression on me,” Chatman said. “Texas is right up there at the top now. An offer from them would be big, real big. It would be huge actually. It would be hard to say no after taking that visit now.” His score on this \/ was close to Tony Brown's which was highest score in TX last year. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Summer Creek ATH Deunte Chatman with the highest SPARQ in Houston so far <a href="http://t.co/LEQBSFp7Hu">pic.twitter.com/LEQBSFp7Hu</a></p>— Brian Perroni (@Perroni247) <a href=" ">March 2, 2014</a></blockquote><script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Juan 10,576
CB Jalen Campbell (Corpus Christi Flour Bluff) is looking around and taking visits. Word is that he was told the staff is "re-evaluating his position." He is one of the higher ranked 2015 commits. Scott says -- The primary reason why the staff may be willing to move away from Campbell has less to do with his injury than the fact that his testing numbers weren't particularly impressive when he committed -- he ran a 4.84 40 at the Nike event last spring before his injury, with a 4.25 shuttle and 30.4-inch vertical. If Campbell can prove that he's recovered fully and has improved his athleticism, there's a chance that the he can remain a member of the class, but right that doesn't look good for the No. 63 player in the state and the No. 46 cornerback nationally. 247Sports has him rated as the No. 101 player in Texas. http://www.burntorangenation.com/recruiting/2014/3/14/5507414/jalen-campbell-texas-longhorns-evaluate-options

Juan 10,576
Another DB --Jaylon Lane of Nacogdoches just decommitted from Ole Miss It looks like he will be on campus too this weekend, with the family. "I love Texas," he said. "I believe with the recruits they're bringing from the class of 2014 along with a player I played against, Lorenzo Joe, I believe they will turn the program back where it needs to be." "They have a great staff. They did a great job at Louisville and I know they will bring that to UT and get to work and put UT at the top again." "Just (Texas) being great with their DBs,” Lane said. “I know I will fit well there and if they offer for sure I will be thinking hard and they will be in my top schools." Reading the tea leaves, sounds like he may be expecting an offer too? Edited March 20, 2014 by Juan Grande
