ECUs offensive stats

I'll use ESPNs rankings over his last four years

Year - Total OFF - Pass O - Rush - Score O

2010 - 25 - 7 - 99 - 17

2011 - 50 - 18 - 105 - 66 (Dominique Davis Sr Season)

2012 - 56 - 36 - 92 - 47 (Shane Carden 1st year as starter)

2013 - 25 - 11 - 91 - 8

shows a little regression in Davis' jr to Sr year but some good progression from Carden's 1st year as a starter to his 2nd.

I know nothing about him, but hope his offense has greatly advanced from Leach. Leach only had about 9 basic plays, but each had several variations. But Stoops seemed to always have him figured out. Not a criticism, just a concern. OSU has moved on quite a bit. Hopefully Riley has made his even more sophisticated, or is better at play calls and not predictable. Just sayin'.

Stoops beat Leach, but Leach's O ran rampant - lost count of how many 400+ yard games.

The only time I remember Leach's O really getting handled and beat down was by, sorry guys - Saban. Fantastic cover corners that year and absolutely smothered Tech.

After working exclusively with Red Raider wide receivers in 2007, Riley spent the last two seasons in Lubbock tutoring the inside receivers and serving as head coach Mike Leach's top "eye in the sky" on game day. As the program's wide receiver coach, he was in charge of the development of Michael Crabtree during his record-breaking campaign in 2007. Under Riley's watch, the freshman became the first underclassman to win the prestigious Biletnikoff Award.
