Would if the aggies lose to Duke

Recommended Posts

Possible. Bowl games are meaningless unless you're playing for the MNC. Favorites usually play down against lesser opponents during bowl season.

for fans bowl games are bragging rights for our conference every year. Big12 hasn't been impressive this year but with bowl games it can help show how tough the big 12 can be.

After Patterson signs our next HC, his next agenda should be finding Texas a new home. I'm not a fan of the Big 12. Would love to join the ACC or Pac 12.

I'm a fan of college football in general. I don't root for teams in one conference over another. I enjoy quality matchups and root for schools similar to that of Texas (UCLA, Michigan, UNC).

Completely agree with SFlonghorngirl.

Johnabeard, where do you hear this. I hope you are right. A while back the rumor was 4, 20 team leagues. Either 16 or 20 would work for me. Also, departing from the jackA$$es knows as the NCAA would be a great thing also.

Also, what do you mean by heads rolling? Someone getting fired? I don't think that would happen, maybe someone on defensive staff if it does. Nothing to Sumiln.

You'll never hear me chanting "Big12, Big12, Big12" like these SEC morons. Sorry, not gonna happen. Bragging rights for a conference? Since when do we buy into that collectivist mentality? We're Texas.

I really don't understand this mental aspect of not supporting the other teams in the conference. A clinical condition of me

I don't think and never will think of THEM ($ec) as morons for support of each other. And yes it grinds me to no end hearing their chant. The only other sound that grinds me is sooooeee pig. But if you do really want to understand why a lot of

People HATE Texas ist the simpleton thinking of me me me and f u were Texas. Not a good example of who we are.

I believe we lead the way in many aspects and we should lead by example. The big12 is a community. Jus as the the old SWC

We were a community and proud of it. This me crap is not being a team or community. I guess I'm old school and will

Continue to support all from this conference. Lead by example. As yes then and only then, are We Texas.

Why? What advantage is there in having an 8 team division over the old 8 team conference structure? You could go to 4 team pods, but it still means you would play certain teams in your conference only once every 8 years. In that structure, why even bother to say they are in your conference? You could play them OOC more often.

Also, a 16 team conferences could be what happens, but what ahout the other 60 or so other FBC teams? What structure do they have to also play for the national title? Not letting them in is a non-starter because they would immediatyely sue under anti-trust statutes. You can't collude against those schools to prevent them from opportunities the other 64 teams would have.

Few thoughts:

I think you'll see four conferences of 16 teams, maybe 18. There are going to be some requirements to be in this breakaway group, things that will keep a school like Texas State out, but would allow a school like UTSA in one day.

The Aggies will not lose to the Duke Blue Devlis, but it is going to be a high scoring game, probably something like 52-34 flying Manziels. Duke did not have an answer for Jameis Winston, and they wont have one for Johnny Manziel or Mike Evans.

I expect someone is getting fired or severely reigned in on Sumlin's staff after this season of awful defense.

You show why you are one of the smartest guys in the room consistently, thank you again. I have no inside info but listen to everything everywhere, and ive been hearing about the 16 team conferences coming. the pac 12 is on its way and the sec with 14 will be there sooner than later, not to mention the acc with 14 as well.

We all know the smaller conferences cant compete on the same level with the big boys, so each of the 4 conferences having a championship game, will give us 4 teams to play in a playoff scenario.

I don't wanna see next year two sec teams playing in the playoff. just my opinion

I too hope there is a way to filter out SEC bias in the selection. Right now, the only way to guarantee that does not happen is to make it a requisite you must be a conference champion to be in the playoffs.

Wont be long before its eight teams. Just a hunch.

8 teams would be the absolutely perfect scenario for college football. Even in the professional leagues not the teams with the best record always wins the title, some teams are more fortunate to have an easier schedule than others. With 8 teams it will come down to the best on the field

Have wanted to go to PAC-12 since the talk of realignment began. Not a big fan of the ACC though.
