MBHORNSFAN
I am hearing Mack in Florida today recruiting and then off to Houston this afternoon. May be back in Houston Wednesday and then off to Longview. Jason is reporting that he is confirmed to be back in Florida Thursday to Meet with Beck. If an announcement is coming any day I would think these trips would not be confirmed and planned..Count me in the worried camp now.. _stampede_
Today is when Patterson, Powers, Sexton, and Saban were to meet I believe. No reason for Mack to be around for that.
HornSolo
Mack Farewell Tour.......telling the recruits goodbye and good luck and remind them that they committed to The University not to a coach. Mack is classy to the end, you have to at least give him that.

dcbc
There was that rumor of offers for Mack, should he leave. Maybe there's a head coach in waiting gig for him to investigate in Florida. I have chosen to keep my hopes way up. At this point, if I am disappointed, it won't be anything to which I have not become accustomed in the last four years.
CJHorn15
Maybe Mack knows it's out of his hands, now. Still thinking he announces next Monday after the banquet this weekend.

Mack is classy to the end, you have to at least give him that. I cannot believe he's visiting recruits to tell them he's retiring before he officially announces it. There's no way that would not get leaked by one of these kids on twitter before he's even left their doorstep.
dcbc
If, as reported here, he and Patterson have had the big talk and an arrangement has been reached, it would not surprise me that the plan was for Mack to make some planned out of state recruiting stops as a little misdirection to allow that powers that be to get things all set for a graceful exit on his part. DizzG
other than MAck showing up at a press conference and still doing his job recruiting for what the University is paying him for there is nothing else he should be involved in other than that...and of course Bowl prep

betogonzalez
This is my take on Mack's recruiting trip. I am sure many of us on this board at one time or another gave our employer two weeks notice before we left our jobs. During those two weeks, did we stop doing our jobs just because the end was near? I didn't, and I am sure many of you all did not either. So, unless, the guys Mack is recruiting are not the type of player Texas wants, then Mack should continue to do his job. Keep recruiting and if these kids are worthy of playing at Texas, then we need to continue to recruit them....my 2 cents. MBHORNSFAN
We have been hearing that Mack wants to return, he is self centered, holding the program hostage etc etc.. So if he is be forced out and he knows this he cannot be happy right now but now everyone expects him to know that he is out and be a stand up guy now and continue to recruit for UT to the very end.. That just does not make sense to me. If he is all the things people have been saying and he is really pissed. I think he would say the hell with this I a going home to eat some of sally's cookies.. pompomman
i hope you guys are right...but this does sort of worry me too. then again, if anything is still up in the air, i can see Mack doing this to keep things in play, not to mention, recruits might start confirming rumors.
