Texas vs San Jose

Recommended Posts

Well the Horns had the lead 4-2 going into the top of 8th just to blow it and lose 5-4. San Jose scored the tying and go ahead run on a passed ball, yes 2 runs one play, a passed ball. It will be a miracle if this team makes it out of a regional.

Maybe second game will be better in results.Relif pitching again. Wrong one in first poor desicion

Ladies walked off vs Jay Hawks 9-1.

No slam, just a correction. The Texas women won 9-1, the way it's written makes it seems like they lost.

This is probably our worst loss on the season. Bad way to lose but also a really low ranked opponent in RPI.

Top of the 5th. LBJ has a few hits and gives up his 1st walk.

San Jose State scores 3.

Texas leads 8-3 going to the bottom of the 5th.

BTW, tech beat West Virginia in their 1st game of this weekend series.

Tech win is huge! Hopefully they can get a few more this weekend!

Question for anyone, is Mitchell Daly hurt or is he sitting due to lack of hitting?

I was just thinking the same thing. He’s had to play out of position as he’s not a shortstop. They are probably better defensively without him at short but I really like him at 2nd.

Seems I've heard that song before

Not from me. The data shows this actually wasn't the worst loss, but the 2nd worst. The loss to Baylor is our worst loss from an RPI perspective.

One thing Texas has been pretty good at this year is not losing to bad teams. 2 losses to quad 2 teams, 2 losses to quad 3 and only 1 to a quad 4 team.

I do agree, some of the losses have been pretty frustrating, and the sweep by OU a low point overall.

In the bottom of the 7th, Texas has added another run. Texas is letting alot of the younger position players get a few at bats. Probably will see some of the young pitchers for the 8th and 9th.

Thru 7 complete Texas leads 19-3

Shame we couldn't have used some of those runs in game 1.

Losing to ou (quit capitalizing it!) was the worst series loss in a long time and definitely the low point of the year. Losing that game at Baylor is close to the bottom since the Horns blew a 3 or 4 run lead in the 9th if I remember correctly.

Texas wins 24-3.  Texas had 2 grand slams, 3 run homerun a total of 22 hits.

Game 3 maybe Saturday afternoon or evening or Sunday depending upon the weather.

In the 2nd inning. 3 gives up 3 runs. Trailing into the bottom half of the 2nd, 3-2.

Bottom of the 2nd, Texas gets an RBI double to tied the game and a sac fly to get the lead back. While the 3rd out happened after the lead score occurred. Believe that O'Dowd went past the 3rd base bag on his slide for the 3rd out.

After  2 comlete Texas leads 4-3.

Witt went 3 innings.

Bottom of the 3rd, Texas adds 4 runs inluding a  run homerun from Kennedy.

We have now hit 7 homeruns in the last 2 games.  Kennedy has 3 of the 7 homeruns including a 2 run homerun,  3 run homerun, and a grand slam.

Sthele starts the 4th inning and has a 1, 2, 3 inning.

Texas leads 8-3.

BTW, OSU is destroying K-State today, believe Keith said it was 17-5 OSU. Not certain if the tech and WV has started their 2nd game pr if there is a score.

We are still in the bottom of the 4th, Texas has put a 7 spot so far in the inning. 15-3. The run rule may be used if the score remains like this.

Excluding no 9th inning at bat for Texas; Texas has scored at least 1 run if not more runs in 7 straight innings over the last 2 games.
