I've pulled the stats already and they confirm what I see.

Card is good, Ewers is good. Neither are elite at this point, and both are improving. There is just nothing in the current stats that justify everyone acting like QE parted the waters vs. Card.

WVU Card 208.7 passer QBR 88.2 adjusted QBR 77.8 comp. % long 45 303 yds.

OU Ewers 182.2 passer QBR  92.3 adjusted QBR 67.7 comp % long 38 289 yds.

stats are great.....but they show only one side of the game. Take the 2 TD passes to Sanders. One was a perfect throw threaded to the receiver in the end zone and the other to a very well covered Sanders about the 5 yd line that hit him in such perfect stride that it was undefendable....easy TD. The stats show two TD passes....but they do not even approach showing the shear artistry of the throws.

Card is good. He is our guy and one could argue that he saved our season....but dont try and make it more than it is. Card might be a star in another situation, but he cannot approach the talent that Ewers brings to the table.

The issue is certainly not above debate. Just sick of all the homers humping on Ewers as the next coming of Touchdown Jesus. A dose of reality, just sip the Kool Aid, we aren't back.

Kinda hard to improve when you're on the bench.

There is a very noticeable difference that apparently you're not capable of seeing that everyone and their dog here does. Card and Ewers are not equal. But something in your DNA, perhaps family ties, perhaps its the aggy in you – just keeps putting poor Card in a spot he doesn't belong.

The reason's he's a backup are repeatedly explained to you on this board. We've done everything but staple them to your forehead.

Nobody else on this team has to have their insufficiencies laundered out in public like you force on Card. If he knew you, I think he'd throat-punched you by now.

Don't be mad at the numbers. At least you spoke up. 200 comments at Unfiltered.

If there was a big difference, you would be seeing it in stats. OU sucks.

Both guys had about 200 yds and 28 points in the 1st half. It was you that kept bringing it up not to challenge NTG.

I'm settled on Card being a backup, but not to be insulted by BS "We're Back" homers. The numbers say it is debatable. It's OK to disagree.

1. I'm not mad. Your shtick is old and tired.

2. That's pretty naive of you, even for you. The stats against a high school team might be flattering and make one look all-American. Stats against a good team might make it seem like you need to ride pine. Stats don't tell the story and obviously, that approach has turned you into "the thing that wouldn't go away."

3. We hold our breath when Card is in the pocket. We anticipate a big play when Ewers is in the pocket. Its truly THAT simple.

Once again, Card's deficiencies are highlighted in public only because you made it happen.

Thats all. You're back on "ignore."

Seriously?  Cards nuts are hanging from your chin.  Ewers didn’t pad, well hell.  It was 49-0.

Everybody on this board loves Card. He is an overachiever, with a lion heart.
He does not have the big arm that Ewers does, and that is easy to see.

Your posts are usually good with the stats, but you are one antagonistic dude.
The name calling and smart ass comments to back your claims are over the top.

If you are not an Aggie troll, you damn sure post like one.

are not isolated to one person on this board.  I read plenty of "smart ass comments" on this board.

Hot Takes after letting it soak in:

* The O-line enabled a running game that's been missing all year providing a balanced attack opening the playbook (OU sucks)

* Pass protection was the best all year (OU sucks)

* The Backs as receivers continue to be a key element of the offense

* The Deep ball is still missing

* Worthy still has the drops

* Lots of open receivers against a terrible defense (OU sucks)

* Quinn needs to learn how to slide, not land on his bad sternum

* RB's barely tripped up trying to clear the LB/ line multiple times, stay upright and we score 80, too much lean

* We never stopped the Wildcat (OU did) and the running QB's could gut us

* Jameson ran right past the kicker going out on a route on fake FG

* OU was so bad it's hard to evaluate how good the D really played

* Sacks and pressure change everything (OU sucks)
