Sirhornsalot
Our heads are still swimming in the aftermath of the Bama game, but the schedule must go on. This week, its UTSA, a much lighter load than what we faced last weekend. However, UT needs to understand that this is UTSA's Super Bowl. Their coach is a very good schemer and play caller. This would be a challenging game even without our injuries. They lost a close one to Houston to start the season, then beat a pretty decent Army team this weekend on the road. As of now, we're not real sure who our QB will be. I'm sure they will try to get Card ready but honestly his ankle was beat up Saturday. I would be surprised to see him. So we have Charles Wright and Malik Murphy to look too. Are either of them ready? A friend down in Austin who hangs out at practices has long sworn to me that if the game ever got into Charles Wright's hands, we'd be okay. Says the kid is a baller. In the limited action I've see of him, Murphy looks serviceable. How much of the playbook have they mastered? A lot of questions going into this week that may not be answered until later in the week. The nice thing is that we have some depth at RB in case Bijan is not ready to go. The OL seems healthy and performed well Saturday. We just need someone to drive the damned bus. NEOkHorn
Card plays the half of his life and the defense is determined to convince the world they are not a 1 week wonder which leads the Horns to a 35-10 halftime lead. Card rests the second half while CW shows he is a capable backup until Ewers returns and the Horns cruise to a 49-17 win. PS: Johnny becomes even more insufferable with his "I told you Card is a star" act and complains that Sark didn't scheme well enough to score 70 in the first qtr. Oh and in a monumental bounce back, I cut 3 strokes off my golf score to log a +12. All in all, a great week to be a Horn. TexExSpur
Hearing high ankle on Card. So he wont be mobile if he plays. What can Charles Wright and/or Maalik Murphy do for us?! I'll chime back in once there is a definitive answer for QB in this game. Sirhornsalot
TexExSpur
Well, no clarity gained. Ewers, Card, and Bijan are all "Day to Day". As for Maalik Murphy, he's not healthy. Sark kept it close to the vest when asked whom took QB reps. This may be the RoJo show with Charles Wright getting reps?! Eastexhorn
I still think RoJo is best bet at QB. Hope for a close UT victory. Hard for me to be against UTSA coach. Ya think you've got Sark worried or somepin? I don't think RoJo is your best bet at all. It might be your worst bet. In all the times RoJo has run wildcat, has he thrown a single pass? Is there a defense out there who thinks he would? This is why the wildcat only has minimal success for us. I hand the ball to Charles Wright. I do this because UT QB is all he has worked on for two years.
Eastexhorn
Hell no I doubt if Sark even knows I am alive. But f he goes on anorherlosing streak , he might need the media on his side. Wright might be best choice never played in coledge to my knowledge.RoJo a senior has more game time experence. Belive RoJo has passed but if he hasnot ho made the decision. Proablyplay caller Sark will make thechoice and I will root for his choice.

TexExSpur
Texas brings the pain on the ground come Saturday! Bijan just walked into his media availability. Running game goes off on the meep-meeps. 35-17 “I’m healthy. My shoulder just hurts a little bit. Just need to be tough and stop being a wimp.” —#Texas RB Bijan Robinson on his shoulder. He says he expects to practice this week. Johnny Depp, Sirhornsalot and hornag

UTfish
Our OL gets even better, our RBs are best in the nation and now we have a defense to go with them. We only need a game manager at QB. I'm confident that our coaches can scheme around any deficiencies. hookemhorb
This is the game that tells us what this team is made of. Does the hangover from the 'Bama loss affect this game? If we play like we did last week, then it don't matter who the QB is. 3 yards and cloud of dust becomes 7 yards and a cloud of rubber pellets. UT1983
24-21 Texas. Texas takes UTSA too lightly and our QB position is suspect. Hard to be as up for the Roadrunners as it was for Bama. Wake up call for Texas rest of the season. Sirhornsalot

I saw the inception of the Wishbone because Coach Bellard's son Emory Jr was an all district QB at 26AAAA State Champ Austin Reagan Raiders and he used Jr and his teammates to run the formation at the park down up the street before he unveiled it to DKR...I used to sneak out to the park and watch, had no idea till much later what I had seen...but Reagan didnt use it, didnt really need to because they had and all state TB and all state FB on their squad ( won state 67,68, 70) Johnny Depp

I was the QB. Lots of option stuff of course, but we would do a lot of option pass – where the QB fakes a hand off to the FB and then drops back. We threw a lot for a team in the early 80s. First play of my QB time was a TD pass. Our coach was a former QB at Rice, which was a good thing back then (see Tommy Kramer).
