random thoughts of the Bama game

1.  Bama did not expose us as much as we exposed them....I expect Bama to lose again at least once.....just not to aggy....

2.Our team is well coached. We got very few penalties and were never drawn off side

3.Ewers is better than I ever hoped

4. Jeff Howe can be trusted. He said we would have a good defense and we do.

5.Johnny Depp knows very little about the game.

6.I am mad as hell that we did not win.I dont give a crap about beating the point spread. I take no moral victory in this terrible loss.

7.SECSECSEC refs screw us less than Big 12 refs, but they still screw us

8.The Bama secondary is taught to hold and interfere on every play......because it works.

9. I am pissed off to the highest extent of pisstivity!

I agree Oldhorn2.  However, with all the doubts we had and the blowout we expected, the progress and coaching looked really good after last year.  I think we only had one hold on the OL.  They couldn't open holes for Bjian, but Sark did try a lot of quick releases that showed that he is a great coach.

I wasn't drinking the kool-aid this summer, but I am much more optimistic about the future.  We showed we can hang and the message to recruits is positive, whereas a blowout could have been damaging to several key recruits.

Great point. Not sure enough has been said about how disciplined the team played with regard to penalties. I've lost count of the stupid, sloppy penalties that have plagued this team at critical times for more than a decade. Despite a very young and inexperienced OL, we had no critical holding calls against a very good DL.

I would add that we did not have any of those dumb personal foul penalties that extend drives. Also had much better tackling than in recent years. The missed sack not withstanding.

So you going to make us play 20 questions or are you just going to spill it?

I'm not going to out the guy because I could be wrong, but he appears to be a very disgruntled Texas fan. Be that said, they both appear to dislike Sark, blame Sark for everything, love Card and believe Card is a better QB than Ewers. So far, they are the ONLY 2 people I know of that have these exact same feelings.

Said person also thinks Card is a better running back than Bijan too

Since I have no use for disgruntled Texas fans, I would just as soon you out him. But I get it if you think you could be wrong.

Kirk Bohls says hold my beer.....

as for UT moving forward, I figure Ewers will be out a minimum of two weeks, Card's ankle will be a nagging type of injury, but manageable. Texas showed they can put Card under center and run Bijan out of a traditional two back I formation, I think its the way to go, feed your horse against UTSA and dont expose Card to further injury

I have to agree with Bohls sentiment but not necessarily the under center bit.  Maybe we get to see the young QBs in the second half.
