First mistake of the game goes to Ok St.  Runner on 1B from leadoff single, no outs, Hodo lays down a great bunt; P rushes the throw and sails it past 1B.  Faltine scores from 1B and Texas takes a 1-0 lead

Horns get runners on 1&2 w/1 out, but a 5-4-3 DP ends the frame

Horns up 1-0 headed B6

Hansen gets 2 more Ks, bringing the total to 9 thru 6.  After a 2-out single, a U# handled easily by Melendez to get the 3rd out

Messinger single and the OSU starter is pulled.

There's some run support. Now we hold our breath that the pitching staff can close it out.

Hansen retires the first two with Ks 11 & 12.  He gives up a 2-out single, and that's it for him.  In comes Stevens with a runner on 1B.

Stevens gets a 1-pitch ground out to SS to end the frame

Horns head to B9 and Stevens will need 3 outs to advance Texas to the winners bracket.

Big win for the Horns. We need to more so we can host a regional. I do not want to go to aggy as a #2 seed.

BTW, you can say "F aggy" all you want but truth is, they're playing very good baseball right now.

RPI improved from #21 to #16. If Texas could notch 2 wins over TCU and/or Oklahoma State on the way to the Big 12 Championship game, RPI could likely move pretty close to #10. RPI isn't the only factor in seeding the post-season tournament but it is definitely considered.
