Happy Friday Seamheads.

First things first, if you haven't had a chance to read it yet, HornSports has a new beat writer for baseball.  Welcome @Cameron Cormier

He's in the press box doing game recaps.  Hoping to have him pop into a game thread every so often and give some insight and opinions.  He has written several game recaps for the last couple of series.

As for tonight, we get to watch how Texas comes out after a thorough destruction of Baylor last weekend.  At this point, every win counts for the Horns.  Ok State will prove to be a more worthy opponent than Baylor.  They are currently ranked 8th by D1 Baseball.  The Pokes are struggling of late, having gone 2-3 in their last 5, including dropping two to TCU and one midweek to Oral Roberts.   That said, they still hold a 1-game lead over the Horns in the Big12 standings.

We need another 5th inning batting performance.

Is our pitching off or is OSU just that good at the plate?

It's windy, Ok St ain't Baylor, and Hansen has left some pitches up and down the pipe.

Nixon comes in from the pen

He works a 1-2-3 frame.  Spectacular play for the first out; hard hit rocket to Messinger at 3B; ricochets off him and Faltine leaps, grabs and throws to 1B for the out.

Horns trail 5-6 headed B8

Nixon back out to pitch.

He hits the first batter, gives up a weak bloop single into short RF along the line; runners on 1&2

FC 1-5 gets the lead runner on a bunt; 1 out

F7 for out #2

Nixon floats a FB on a 1-0 count, 2-RBI double.  Ok St takes the 8-6 lead

That's all for Nixon

On comes Lebarron Johnson
