According to a source close to his family, Mathis is going to Nebraska

I didn't realize that Nebraska had that kind of NIL money. I guess they're also trying to outbid Texas for Mathis. I  also read that Mathis is considering staying at TCU. Maybe he's doing the same as Wong.

Gerry Hamilton just put in a Nebraska pick.  This program isn't dedicated to doing what must be done.  Another lame duck season is ahead and we aren't ready to go to the SEC.  Program is a has-been.

Don't stand on the ledge yet. That's just a Hamilton pick. We'll know soon enough if you want to jump or not.

Casey Thompson did say the NIL possible deals were better at Nebraska than at Texas.  We all laughed it off but maybe there is some truth there. We all know Texas can come with more money than Nebraska but maybe they aren’t doing it. Nebraska has a huge fan base……maybe they’re working it better than Texas.  We don’t really know.
I mean not much surprises me nowadays but it will be fairly shocking if Nebraska gets him. Considering he is from Texas and we have Patterson on the staff.  Especially since Nebraska hasn’t been a picture of winning lately and who knows when they’ll get back to winning.  Frost was nearly fired last year, but I think they let him fire alot of his staff and I believe they actually cut his pay if I remember correctly.

If you take money can you still compete in olypmics games? Maybe another side effect to NIL.

??? What do you mean? Profession athletes have been competing in the olympics for decades

What is the biggest thing holding Texas back from paying recruits same as A&M does? Like how do we have to set it up that we are refusing to do?

I think the biggest question mark is where the money is coming from. Texas and OU have set up various legit NIL deals for the roster. Some players are give additional NIL deals from companies. The A&M problem is there are no deals in place that I’ve seen. Players are just being given hundreds of thousands of dollars to commit. I think that’s why the NCAA is looking further into some of these deals.
