Well, it is if you call your shot by saying "by end of week."

My man Cujo hasn't nailed anything in about a decade,  but credit where credit is due if he gets this one.

Some of those insiders from the Mack Era still try to push info, but they post it late or you can tell they've just read other boards or articles from national sites.

Interesting denial. He says no communications between Florida State and the SEC. It is more likely that the communications would be indirect. If he wanted to crush the rumor he would have said we have no interest in joining the SEC and we have not communicated with the SEC through any direct or indirect channels.

No kind words from this representative.  Was it our responsibility to make the big12 a great conference?

If that is the case, then why does it matter if Texas is leaving or not?  It obliviously is of no loss to the B12 according to this blowhard. What a child.

I heard/read WVU is in talks with the ACC (or at least trying).  However, I also read that their academic standing could be a major hurdle. I guess that means WVU is "academically ineligible" to join as of now.  I wonder if WVU can JUCO to get their grades up and try again :)

I think ACC is in a bad spot with little wiggle room. They need the Notre Dame issue settled.

WV is academically in a bad spot since they HAVE to accept EVERY applicant in the state that wants to  go there up to a quantity limit rather than a quality limit (IIRC but could be wrong on that); therefore, their academic standing is going to suck and that's not something they can change over night.

West Virginia being back on the East Coast and playing Pitt is the natural fit.

Bowlsby met with PAC commish for the second day and apparently he is going to meet with ADs and Presidents tomorrow morning.

Probably a scheduling partnership and not a merger, unfortunately.

If the Big 12 decides to merge and Pac 12 is good with that (minus Tech, Iowa State and W Virginia) then Texas' obligation to the Big 12 is then over since it would no longer exist.

Where are Tech, Iowa St, and WVU going in the proposed merger? Like you, I believe it'll be a scheduling agreement. Bowlsby seems intent on fighting this until the end.

FOX/ESPN won't keep the Big 12 whole with any possible additions - BYU, UH, Cincy...whatever.
