I agree.  He’s earned the job.

Able to recruit = YES.  Game coach = Superb!   The only question I guess is the administrative stuff the job entails… managing a staff, etc.   But he even has HC experience on his resume.

I think Terry has done a great job so far.  But Beard constructed this team and Beard would’ve done as good most likely.

Yes Terry can recruit.   Everyone Texas has hired in bball and football can recruit partly Bc it is Texas.   Can Terry build a team like Beard has shown from recruiting and transfer portal?  Can Terry keep the two 5 stars committed?  Can Terry make it to the sweet sixteen?

we will get all those answers here shortly.

I kept wondering if it had to do with the riches of big guys he was able to recruit at UT. With the higher level talent he could recruit at UT he may have thought he didn't need to create chaos to win. He could just line up and pound the other team with talent. Unfortunately it didn't work out that way. Teams with less talent put the havoc on UT.

Colgate is the best 3 ball shooting team in the nation - 40% as a team. We need to be all over them on defense because they can score a lot, quick. The are a bad FT shooting team, so I am hoping we overplay them at the 3pt line and even if they drive by, foul them and put them on the FT line. They are not a good defensive team.

Aggy is very underseeded, they should have been a 5 seed. I don't mind seeing them get the short end of the stick but I also am not too excited about playing them in the round of 32. They had 2 really bad losses early in the year but have been one of the hottest teams in the last month or two.

Penn St is no push over either and they have some really good 3 point shooters. 2nd round game will be interesting either way.

aggy got screwed on their seeding and they have been playing very good ball lately. I stated earlier this season they were playing good ball and got the typical "f aggy" responses. Buzz is a good coach and has them ready to play.

I think we got a tough 2nd round. On the other hand, I think we have a great shot if we make it to the 2nd weekend.

Once you are in thetourny you have to win no matter who , when or where. Even the low seeds can beat you.

OU did not get near to making tourny but blew out Alabama a #1seed.

Like Barnes, he left on good terms with the fans. And even Shaka, though fans were disappointed in his teams, I don't think fans had ill will toward him.

Here’s a random question…. Some of these may be out of eligibility, but COVID makes it murky… what are the odds these players are Longhorns next year…. Assuming Terry is the coach:

Hunter

Mitchell

Carr

Morris

Disu

Biship

Cunningham

I think Terry is still auditioning for the two 5-stars.

Carr, Disu, Bishop are probably gone. Hunter should return if he has a covid year. Morris and Mitchell need more time and clearly aren't ready for the next level yet. Cunningham should return if it's possible. What else is he going to do? lol
