texasdalton 1,385
Our national recruiting presence is joining the big league. This isn't 2002 when you could stay in state. This is a statement. Hookem Sirhornsalot, Eastexhorn and hornag
UTfish 1,113
Hot ziggity dog! Our offense has been good, but now it's going to sizzle with great players and top notch coaches on both sides of the ball and a defense that will get the ball back for them. Ordering a truck load of koolaid today!

Eastexhorn 458
Realy pumped almost had a glass of koolade, but wife made hot coaco instead. Now for some more Calif. players espically Greene and McMillen. UTfish
Eastexhorn 458
On second thoughts a lot hype for a QB who has never scored or passed for a TD. Tax Saver
oldhorn2 1,403
Bill Bradley....The most hyped recruit of all time. 1965 I think. Quarterback....In those days freshmen could not play varsity Ball. Anyway, Billwas so endearde of the National media that he made the cover of Sports Illustrated( back when that meant as much as being on a Wheaties Box) before he ever played a down of Varsity ball.....and he was good!....But Texas went 6-4....6-4..and was 0-1-1 when he was switched to safety and replaced at QB by James Street( Texas did not lose a game thereafter for 2 1/2 years.....reeled off 30 in a row) 63_Texas_1, Sirhornsalot, Tax Saver and 2 others 4
UTfish 1,113
But, if I remember right, Bradley had small hands and fumbled a lot and couldn't throw a good pass, even if Royal would let him. Good wishbone quarterback though.
oldhorn2 1,403
good at the wishbone?....He started 2 games as a wishbone QB and he did not win either one and was replaced by Street. What he was good at was safety...He was an AA there and went on to be an all Pro Safety for the Eagles for many.many years. He also was the 2nd best punter I ever saw. Every punt came off his foot in a perfect spiral... 63_Texas_1, Eastexhorn, Sirhornsalot and 3 others 5
Eastexhorn 458
Replaced by Street third QB in his district if I remember right. UTfish

oldhorn2 1,403
Don’t feel bad....you were right about the small hands... ....and the funny thing about the wishbone and passing...if we ever got in a tight game( damned rare), it was a pass that pulled us out... java
