Administrators HornSports Staff 1,716 Posted October 24, 2020 Administrators Report Share Posted October 24, 2020 The Texas Longhorns (2-2, 1-2) will meet the Baylor Bears (1-1, 1-1) for the 110th time on Saturday at Darrell K. Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium. The Longhorns have lost two straight and are in desperate need of a win to save their season and potentially Tom Herman's job. The Baylor program has been hit by Coronavirus this season, forcing the Bears to reschedule and cancel games, and at one point halting all football-related activities due to a significant amount of positive COVID-19 test results. First year head coach Dave Aranda's team has played just two games thus far, defeating Kansas in their opener and losing to West Virginia in Morgantown in OT. The Texas program needs a win to mute the noise surrounding the program. While all eyes will be on the postgame and whether or not players stand, sing or stay for "The Eyes of Texas," what matters most is the result on the scoreboard after four quarters. Despite two losses, the Longhorns still have their sights set on playing in the Big 12 Championship. A loss to Baylor would all but eliminate those hopes and cast tremendous doubt on Herman's future at Texas. When they take the field, the Longhorns will be wearing white throwback jerseys. This will mark the first time the team has worn white at home since 1950, when they when they defeated Purdue 34-26. tejasrulz 3,029
If I'm home and by the TV, I'll watch it but I'm not setting the time aside just because it's on. Guess I'm a bad fan but if they don't care, neither do I. DMAC, Baron and dillohorn
Administrators Aaron Carrara 2,964 Posted October 24, 2020 Administrators Report Share Posted October 24, 2020 Cool day in Austin and should be around 70 degrees at kickoff.
Baron 1,502
Texas should win this game by double digits, but my confidence in Herman and the team is completely shattered. If it's another nail biting win by a couple of points or OT I'll still be pissed.
