Lol!  The truth is you are correct.  Hiring and firing of coaches is always a delicate and sensitive operation and for good reasons.  There are the money aspects, reputations, pasts and futures of peo

I don't visit this board that otten, I spend most of my time on IT.  Why I'm not sure.  I have been lambasted and skinned alive by many posters over there.  Even the mods.  But IT does provide many in

Herman got political and failed to develop players. Two reasons to stick a fork in him.

I will say this, TFB has been less than pro-Urban for the entire time, though I think they've posted what they know. This may be one case where some OU influence is found in their coverage. Not sure.

IT has been much stronger about Urban to Texas. @MBHORNSFAN Mike needs to fill us in with what they're saying over there.

So if Urban Meyer were a no-go, where would Texas go if Herman were to be escorted out? The candidates are less than plentiful. Luke Fickell? Matt Campbell? Hugh Freeze? A coordinator? I want Herman gone, but if it's not Urban, then who?

hhhhmmm... the only things I can think of are smart-alec responses..  LOL

And then there's this:

"On the pregame show on Saturday morning, it appears Meyer teased the fan base about the whole scenario. In a discussion about the best college towns, Matt Leinart brought up Austin, Texas. Brady Quinn then asked Meyer if that was the next town he was going to fix. Meaning the football team that plays in Austin, the Texas Longhorns. Meyer simply stated, “I don’t know yet.”

Hugh Freeze. I know he has baggage but he is a good coach with a decent resume.

He is the number one target. Everyone who has power is on one accord. In fact he is the only target. There is no back up plan. Urban wants to coach again.  There are no obstacles at Texas.

Word from people inside the administration is that Meyer is non-committal about returning to coaching and specifically about being interested in the Texas job.

Beyond that obvious choice, there is no other logical frontrunner, save maybe a Luke Fickell or a Del Conte favorite like James Franklin or the guy Herman faced across the field Friday, Matt Campbell

Yeah, I don't think anybody is going to be telling USAToday anything at this point.

I'm not enthralled with Les Miles NC at LSU. Hell, you or I could coach that team to a NC. The talent is thick there and the state's recruits have a loyalty to LSU that Texas does not have with its own. All they ever needed was an offense, and that would not come until Brady arrived on the scene. Miles' offenses were awful.

I"m not either, at all, was only putting TH in perspective and I consider those Nick Sabans' recruits that he won the NC with. Like i said before, i don't even care and its pretty bad that its even debatable.

It's an opinion piece and it's by Kirk Bohls not USA Today. LOL  Who does Breitbart have as the next Texas coach?:)

If its not USAToday, then why did you post a link to USAToday? And wouldn't giving info like that to douche Bohls be pretty unlikely? This board normally knows info sooner than he does anyway.

It would not matter if it were an opinion piece or a front page story. Providing information can come from either. It happens every single day.

I don't speak for breitbart, but that would belong in the political thread anyway.

You're really having trouble with the political stuff, huh? Did I get any mail today? lol
