I used to watch Moons run n shoot offense as well.  Remember the Jerry Glanville team lol.  I was a huge Cowboys fan then it just died over the years.  I will always watch our horns til the day I die though

I think I have just gotten very tired of the constant addition of politics into sports. Most people have enough crap to deal with in their everyday life. For me, I would tune out the world for a couple of hours and live and die with my teams. Now we are constantly barraged with political messages and activism. Right or wrong, I wasn't a big fan of the month-long wearing pink for breast cancer. Yes, I support breast cancer awareness, but the whole awareness for this, awareness for that got a bit old. But, then again I am wishy-washy, because I did like the Cowboy's Thanksgiving Salvation Army promotion...

I read some stuff on Josh Moore and I can tell you i am really happy for the young man. He got in trouble and could have just quit, but he was sorry and kept his head up. He kept working and stayed engaged in the program. He did his suspension and came back ready to play. We have seen enough to tell that he’s a really good player. He’s a good young man too. What I like is that he didn’t try to lie or blame anyone else. He said he got what he deserved. I am definitely a Josh Moore fan. He’s got a bright future.

Because we regularly see them on police blotters, most often for rape or sexual assault or domestic violence. And then they suddenly want to lecture their consumer base. If you don't see the ill-fated irony there, there's more....

It is BRAIN-DEAD marketing strategy to alienate your consumer base in the first place. But this is an ongoing operation. While they may feel proud and justified about calling America all these names and being critical of every little thing – the fact remains, nowhere else in this world can they have the opportunity to earn millions and millions of dollars playing a silly game. A race that makes up 15% of America's population is represented to the tune of 70% in the NFL. Where in God's name is the oppression?

Meanwhile, teachers, police, firemen, etc., have much more challenging jobs that do the public a service – and they're paid nothing by comparison to the NFL. 

They cry about division, but insist on having two different anthems played at games now.

They began this charade, and continue it, by kneeling (disrespecting) a flag that provides a blanket of freedom for them. It is highly, highly insulting, particularly for those who have loved ones who gave their lives for that flag.

So in my opinion, it is highly irresponsible for today's players to literally flush the league down the toilet after so many trailblazers before them had worked so hard for the pedestal these clowns sit on. They are literally destroying a profession so it won't be there for the future would-be players of the NFL. It will be greatly diminished and that's a tragedy.

If anyone in this country needed four years of college, it was Lebron James. Thanks to him and others like him, slave labor is alive and well in China, making the communist wallets fat thanks to the sweat shop labor. But he will lecture us all about how we're all racists and live in a racist country.

If anything, I would vote over and over again for the NBA to move to China. I was once a huge fan. Today, F no.

Let me first say, I am conservative, and I support and love everyone no matter their race, religion, etc. Human life is precious and we are only on this planet for a fleeing minute. I do not however support Marxism or socialism, and if Communist China is in any way financing BLM, well that says it all right there. China wants to see our country destroyed and if this is true, we should all be very worried.

I watch sports to get away from the trials and tribulations of life. It is my escape. I read and watch enough news to know or at least form an opinion of what is wrong in this country. I used to be a huge Mavs fan but somewhere along the line I became disenchanted with the way the game was played (no defense). I quit watching long before the civil unrest. The NFL is an easy explanation. With all the years of Cowboy mediocrity I slowly quit watching, and I have no desire to watch another team. The political stuff sealed the deal.

Thank God for DVR's or I would probably have some difficulty with college broadcasts. I never watch a game "live". I watch at a 30 minute time lag to skip through commercials and other stuff.

I know I have said this before but I dont like the BLM lecturing in sports or in the schools preK through HS.  I think its good to teach about racial equality but when they are teaching kids that America is not exceptional that bothers me.  No indoctrination of Marxist ideology in public schools that receive tax dollars.

I would like to give props to @DBut82.  I dont watch the NBA but all I ever heard about LeBron was his BLM shirts and boycotts.  My opinion of him wasnt good.  DB told me about something I think everyone here can get behind.  I know I do.  Education is key to closing the wealth gap.  Just thought I would share this.  Gotta give him props for this even though I dont agree with the boycotts

I quit watching pro football years ago when Bud Adams sold the Houston Oilers team to Tennessee. Was just getting interested in the Texans when this taking a knee shtf. I, too, see it as disrespectful of our flag and our country. 

I've always preferred the lights out play of college football to the showboating of the pros.

Never was much of a basketball fan.

But what you shared just made me look at him in a different way. I've always thought those who find success should return to their home to help others less fortunate. Thats exactly what he did. Kudos to Lebron James.

I quit quit watching pro sports years ago because I got tired of people making millions bitching about being poor (see Ken Norton Jr). 

Be that said, for modern times @Sirhornsalot nails it in his post. 

As far as for "Chairman James" (he has no problem supporting China, who I believe is our worst enemy), even sh*t can have a good purpose (fertilizer) but it's still sh*t.

I do agree with this.  Anyone remember the NBA fiasco over the pro democracy Hong Kong protestors?  Apologizing for pro democracy protestors.  Hows that for the left demanding we take more of a leadership role?  The NBA, Nike, and Disney are sold out to China.  China's communist party and their grotesque human rights violations, not only against Chinese people but also Muslims, should not be preaching to the USA.  But of course the NBA and Nike bowed down to the CCP.  Rockets GM Moreys tweeted  "Fight for Freedom. Stand with Hong Kong." of which he later had to apologize for and NBA as well.  Even Lebron commented on it afterwards
