Didn't say much to anyone else. He did say he visited one-on-one with Sark and Marion and he enjoyed that. If he chooses Texas, I will be completely fooled. He would immediately be a top dog in OU's class. I think we're going to see a completely different OU next year. I just don't see Venebles keeping things like they've been. They'l be a better defensive team, but I question that offense of theirs. It will still be a scrap in Dallas, but I think we start winning most of those ahead. Yeah im with you on that one. Ill eat crow if he chooses Texas

For some reason I have a good feeling about Hicks to UT. ATM got a great DL class last year and UT needs some infusion of young talent. Hicks has a better path to significant early playing time/reps, imo. Not saying he wouldn't beat out some the guys from atm, but the path at UT is not as cluttered. We need to remember, aggy was in this position last year albeit from a spending spree. Their recruiting last year set records. I expect they'll be a salty team in a year or two if they stay together, as much as I hate to say that. Because of our riches at QB, we'll have the advantage when we play them. Supposedly that class was one of the best in history. And will they break out the money again for Hiill, Hicks etc …? AND, if we take him, then OU does not. he he IMO, Pettaway has got to be noticing the lack of momentum north of the Red and the complete recruiting house party going on in Austin. To this past weekend, he was a heavy OU lean. I wonder if that's changed I hope we can duplicate, especially with ultra fast receivers. Back when they were winning State Championships almost yearly Ennis HS football had a slogan “You either have speed or your chasing it”. In each recruiting class since Sark arrived we have dramatically increased our speed. Baron, NEOkHorn, UTfish and 2 others

RickyFlair
Obviously this recruiting cycle is far from finished BUT if we can keep the momentum and finish with the top class it would really show how elite our staff is at recruiting. Since 2010 (that’s as far as I looked) the team with the #1 class had success on the field in the two years leading up to the cycle. They were also all from the SEC (Bama doing it 9 times has a lot to do with it) The teams averaged 23.9 wins and 3.5 losses during the two years. A$M is the only team to not have at least 20 wins and Georgia was the only team to have 7 losses. 15-0 this year gets us to 20-7. I only point this out to demonstrate just how historic of a recruiting year we are witnessing. Big Daddy Cane

I also wonder if the staff is slowing down a commit or two now that we have a solid foundation and more visibility. Unfortunately, we can't take everybody like the Royal days, so when Tfloss says we haven't heard about a name in awhile, I take it to me we have an embarrassment of riches this year. I must say I am a little worried that our little brother with find some extra NIL just to sway Hill and Hicks away from UT, but we have to trust in the NIL system we are putting in place

Eastexhorn
A list of players the Horns need. 1 Baxter 2 Hill 3 2 of 3 Hicks, Mitchell or Green 4 2 of 3 Hale, H-Pilot or Brown. 5 2 of 3 Toviano, MM or Mathews Any of these 10 would be great! Someone else can list the ones going to portal to make room 12 will do it. NEOkHorn
