Ok, just read up on that USC/UCLA thing. Not sure how that will work with the two newcomers being two time zones away.

I understand USC, but why UCLA? Why not Oregon?

My question. Im not understanding that at all

You don't want to take a 41 hour road trip from Los Angeles to New Jersey?

From a national recruiting standpoint, it makes you realize the advantage Texas has. Not just Texas kids, but east, west  or north, not that much difference in distance from Texas. West coast to East coast is a different story.

Freaking crazy... What other dominoes might fall? Arizona and ASU to the Big 12. Does Colorado go back also? Oregon to the sec? The landscape of college football will be unrecognizable in just a couple of years.

Or PAC raiding the Big 12 out of existence.

Maybe a list of finalists?

Doesn't feel like a commitment, but I will look around.

And then there's this, lol

Viral Video Appears To Show Texas A&M Staffer Telling Recruits They’ll Get Paid To Play For The Aggies

A video blowing up social media might be a major problem for the Texas A&M Aggies.

A video circulating the internet appears to show a staffer for the Aggies informing recruits they’ll get paid a ton of money to play for Texas A&M, according to Eleven Warriors.

To be clear, players are allowed to profit in the current era of college football, but NIL deals are supposed to be worked out once a player is on campus. The university isn’t supposed to have a role in it.

This video appears to cut against that line of thinking and the rules. This video appears to show a person clad in Aggies gear telling recruits the wealthy people in suites will pay them a ton of money!

That’s not at all what NIL is supposed to be about. Yes, players can get paid, but they’re not supposed to be promised fortunes as recruits.

Furthermore, Nick Saban got flamed for saying the Aggies bought their latest recruiting class, and all hell broke loose in the SEC as Jimbo Fisher tried to deny the charge.

Per IT, DT Sydir Mitchell of Oradell, NJ is supposed to make a commitment in a few days.

It's thought to be down to Georgia vs. Texas, although A&M isn't out of the race.

The staff has been in touch daily in the last week, they spoke for an hour on Wednesday night and then touched base again today.

Not unexpected, but IT saying Arch should be in Austin for the Alabama game.

They believe the staff will focus on bringing in big targets, like TE Duce Robinson, that weekend.

Simple.  Same reason they added Rutgers and Maryland.  It wasn't the sports, they are going after TV markets.  When you cover a bigger population base, you can get more tv money.
