I went to the liquor store today and they told me that the panic morons had bought every bottle of Everclear for hand sanitizer. I shit you not.

My guess is they aren't wasting the Everclear on their hands.  They're sanitizing their innards!

Interesting how not enough tests are available, and they are not attainable, but the Utah Jazz were able to get 50 tests for their team in a heart beat following the Gobert situation.

Here is the answer.

Aside from critically ill patients who are hospitalized, the physician said the Massachusetts Department of Public Health is only approving testing for people who have been exposed to someone who has already tested positive or who has traveled to one of the five heavily impacted countries outside the US in the past 14 days, which mirrors CDC guideline

Here’s an updated statement from Texas AD Chris DelConte:

Statement from UT Vice President and Athletics Director Chris Del Conte:

“We spent today talking to our coaches and as many of the student-athletes and teams as possible. I thought it was imperative that we shared with them all of the facts as we know them and what the next steps are. It’s an extremely difficult time for them, and we certainly share their pain and disappointment. But it’s also important for them to understand the magnitude of the situation and that these decisions are being made in the best interest of everyone’s health, safety and well-being. It is an unprecedented time in college athletics and it’s imperative we make every effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).

“The most significant news of the day came this evening when, in addition to the Big 12’s previously announced suspension of athletics activities until March 29, the conference also decided to cancel all athletic competition for the remainder of the spring season. It was a hard piece of news to share with our teams since they’ve worked so hard in preparation for this year. The situation is still fluid as practices and other team activities remain suspended until March 29, but will be re-evaluated by the Big 12 at that time. Additionally, the NCAA is in discussion on how they’ll handle eligibility status for current winter and spring sports student-athletes.

“The other key update from our end is our response to campus extending spring break an additional week until March 29. During that time, we’re encouraging student-athletes to go home and take care of themselves, understanding that some will need to remain on campus. The dorms will continue to be available and dining halls are accessible, as well, but there will be no practice, strength and conditioning work, athletic training room availability or team functions. However, our sports medicine staff will be available for our student-athletes to contact remotely.

“While the student-athletes are on break, our medical personnel will be developing mitigation strategies for athletics activities in anticipation of their return to campus. All facilities, dorms and the dining hall will be thoroughly deep-cleaned and sanitized to provide the safest possible environment for when they return. We are monitoring this situation in concert with our campus administration and the health and government agencies they are working with. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.”

You need to stay safe bro.  It’s going nuts up in your state.  Stay home, drink plenty of Shiner and smoke all the meat you have.

There are 2.5 million tests available at labs across the country right now.

But yeah, its pretty easy to get an AR-15.

Concerns about the lagging pace of coronavirus testing have exploded into a major political issue, with lawmakers of both parties angrily demanding more tests for Americans as President Donald Trump has insisted problems that have hindered capacity are being addressed.

Looks like some entrepreneurs need to get going. The Gov't doesn't manufacture the kits, they only buy them.

PD, thats a political opinion from a liberal site. At the least, its ill advised to copy them and attempt to politicize a virus.

What the story doesn't try to say is the US has a higher standard of healthcare available than any nation in the world. Why would we buy WHO tests when we have always created our own?

When a new virus comes on the scene, the host country of origin will send out the code for the new virus. From that, other countries across the world are able to generate their own tests and also begin developing a medicinal remedy. Whoever gets there first, shares the remedy with the rest of the world.

That's pathetic! That's why the fear is that we are going to be like Italy.

ITALY'S NIGHTMARE OFFERS A CHILLING PREVIEW OF WHAT'S COMING

This help reduce fear...HOW? 😳

If there is going to be a discussion about coronavirus, how about approaching situation from a positive and helpful manner? See below.

Otherwise, let's talk Longhorn sports.
