2020 Recruiting Board/Thread

Anyone know how many DTs LSU plans on taking? They have 3 committed already plus are in a good spot for Mckinnley Jackson.

I’m asking cause I hope they back off Branard Wright and helps him come down to the good guys! If not him let’s get Jacobian Guillory out of Louisiana. I see we’ve offered him as well.

Staff doesn't like Wright.  Look at his frame and then look at the 4 main guys in-state we are after.  Umanmielen is the interior guy for this class.

Texas hasn’t really recruited Wright to this point. I don’t think he’s been offered.

Hilarious to see the spin on aggy boards.  Garth and Lindberg are now "not really that good" lol.

And George is not that good either, plus Evans is only rated that high because his competition isnt that good.  He would be a poor to avg RB in the SEC.

What about the Kitan Crawford offer? Maybe he's grown an inch or two since these highlights lol. He's certainly electric / fast as hell and a hell of a ball player but at that size I only see a return specialist and that's a tough sell when you've got badass players who can return the ball and play other positions.

Found my answer. Looks like he has grown an inch or two after all. That means BADASS. His twitch rivals Cooper's IMO but watching him on D is something else. Kid is really good. The kind of make-up speed we haven't had for a while. Based on the link above (all I've seen).

aggy is maintaining that Demas is in fact the # 1 recruit in the country. Has anyone else heard the ever so faint rumor that Demas is a grade risk?

Of course he is because he is currently committed to them.  Let's see how the narrative changes when Demas flips to someone else.  Their schtick is so tiresome and frankly not worth our time.

I do think Demas flips at some point, but I don't think it will be to Texas. I could see Ohio St., Bama, even Clemson getting in on him.

Most who cover recruiting seem to think his committment is growing stronger. He will flirt like Shepherd but most think he sticks....Bag gonna bag.

SHA or anyone, who do you have as the top 2 on your big board for each position? There is so much interest from a variety of players but I can’t keep track who would be the top dogs.

Broughton, Broughton, Broughton – must take the best DL in Texas this year. Because we can and because we should.

Evans at RB. The AZ RB intrigues me.

Lindberg and George are the only two left to fill out the OL class.

I've not really looked at TEs in this class.

Safety and CBs are where it gets dicey. The class is loaded with both and many are being recruited by us. When you have a bunch of fish, just cast a bigger net. Thats what UT has done here. We'll take the first who come but there's one or two I think they're especially fond of.

I think what you're seeing in many cases with whom we're recruiting – look at their 100 times, 40 times, etc. They're fast. I think the OU game last year made an impression on Tom Herman. OU has some friggin speed. And I think you'll see us go after that a lot in this class.

I do not think he flips for reasons only known by his “uncle” and aggy boosters.

QB - Preston Stone seems to be the top target. Kid knows no fear. I like that. We are looking for a second QB in this class but there's a group of them that would be considered our second take there.

Stone is 2021.

Alec Bryant committed to LSU. It was an LSU-OU battle. OU recruiting, on the defensive side, seems to be trending down quite a bit.

Bryant is who Umanmielen also went to OU with and talked about playing together.  Rumors on the tOSU side is Grinch wasn't a very good recruiter and they've lost some pieces on the DL transferring out.  But we'll take it.  Riley is looking more like a typical air raid coach that neglects defense.  Still will be a pain to deal with offensively.

    • RES SCHEDULE STANDINGS RANKINGS         LOG IN           Friday Five: Five teams not named Alabama or Clemson who have a realistic shot to win the national title If the Crimson Tide or the Tigers don't win the College Football Playoff, here's five teams who could by Tom Fornelli  @TomFornelli 3 hrs ago • 5 min   Over the summer, I wrote about the 16 teams that can realistically win a national title. The premise of the post that while every team technically starts the season with the same chance, the reality is much different. Now, only a few weeks into the season, that list of 16 has been culled a bit. It hasn't stopped anybody from asking me a familiar question, though. Whether on radio, podcasts or social media, I've been asked multiple times some variation of "which team is most likely to win the national title if it isn't Alabama or Clemson?" Well, for this week's Friday Five, I'm going to answer the question, though I doubt it will stop anybody from asking me. There's still a very long way to go in the season, but based on what we've all seen so far, these are the five teams I would give the best odds to right now. 5. Texas: Sometimes I wish I called this feature Friday Four instead of Friday Five because it's not always easy coming up with a fifth entry for the list. This was one of those times. I was going back-and-forth between Texas and all the honorable mentions listed below and ultimately decided on Texas for a couple of reasons. First of all, Texas is a talented team, and you need talent to win national titles. In 247Sports's team talent rankings, the Longhorns rank 7th in the country, ahead of the honorable mentions. More than that, however, Texas has an "easier" path to the College Football Playoff. There's only one obstacle in its way in the Big 12, and it's named Oklahoma. Now, it won't be easy to beat Oklahoma twice in the same season, but it's not impossible. Meanwhile, Auburn might be the third or fourth-best team in its own division. Michigan hasn't beaten Ohio State since 2011. Penn State has to get through Ohio State as well. Notre Dame can get to the playoff, but it has to be perfect to do so, and that's very hard to do. Then there's Oregon, which might be the best team in the Pac-12, but being the best team in the Pac-12 doesn't seem to mean much to those who decide which teams get in. So Texas gets this fifth spot in a bit of a tie-breaker. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/friday-five-five-teams-not-named-alabama-or-clemson-who-have-a-realistic-shot-to-win-the-national-title/
    • Getting a four star WR recruit is the cake. Taking him away from the aggies is the icing.
    • I'm sure aggy is saying right now "He isn't $ec good enough, don't want"
    • So Give me a low down? How good is this kid etc? Follow Texas recruiting via boards and never heard his name till now lol. Nice!
