Texas:3

Through 5.  Z. Morehouse started, went 4 innings giving 3 Earned runs and 1 unearned run, 82 pitches, 8 hits and 4/5 strikeouts.

Final-- Missouri 6  Texas 5.  We tied it up in the 7th only to lose in a walkoff base hit in the bottom of the 9th.

I went to game 1 vs Arkansas.    Don’t expect to see a team that resembles last year what-so-ever.  The power / offense just isn’t there.  On a positive note, pitching looked pretty good.

Bold proclamation after 1 game?  Yes - take with a grain of salt.

Too early to say how good this team is. Last team that lost all games in Arlington almost played for a national title.

Missouri loss was bad, but I can deal with losses to Vandy and Arky, though I’d rather it be a little more competitive against Vandy like they did against Arkansas.

12-2 4  errors in one inning. Then team is young only 2 seniors.

Then softballhas only 1 senior and a better record.

Horns ppear to have 2 good lefties in relief.

To me young is no excuse, LL high school they have played before.

8 unearned runs in that inning alone. Starter had a good outing statistically with a 0.00 ERA.

The pitching has been good enough to win. Errors and other things has to improve. Bounceback Tuesday.

I'm often surprised how many people that should know better, get it wrong. Even the Minister of Culture is guilty of this.

I was taught in 1961 that if your thumb overlapped the two inner fingers, you were doing it wrong. The thumb and two inner fingers should be pinched together to resemble a steer's head.

So, according to what I was taught, most people get it wrong, but the message is unmistakable.

I would imagine by this standard most people get it wrong. In 62 years of life I've never heard this.

Well, the cheerleader who taught this to me was really, really pretty so she had my undivided attention.  Personally, I respect any way it's done as long as it's horns up.

One other thing...you held your hands high over your head, not belt high.
