Complete Schedule

AUSTIN, Texas—Texas Baseball announced its 2018 home game times, with Longhorn Network, the home of Longhorns baseball, televising more than 30 games this season beginning February 16 at 6:30 p.m. with the first of three contests vs. Louisiana-Lafayette.

Following the three-game set against the Ragin' Cajuns, LHN will air a Wednesday night game against Lamar (February 21) before the No. 21 Longhorns hit the road for three games at No. 16 LSU in Baton Rouge.

Texas then returns to UFCU Disch-Falk Field for a Tuesday night matchup against UTSA (February 27) before four games, including a Saturday doubleheader, against visiting Northwestern (March 2-4).

LHN will then carry another four-game series the following weekend, this time against longtime opponent No. 13 Stanford (March 8-11)

After Texas heads to preseason No. 4 Arkansas for a pair of midweek games (March 13-14). Big 12 Conference action on LHN begins with a three-game series vs. Kansas (March 16-18). The Longhorns face off against Sam Houston State the following Tuesday (March 20) before the Oklahoma State Cowboys, who edged Texas in the Big 12 Conference tournament championship game last season, come to Austin for a three-game league series (March 23-25).

The LHN schedule resumes in April with a Monday night contest against McNeese State (April 2) and a three-game set vs. Baylor (April 6-8). The Longhorns will then face nonconference opponents in five straight games on LHN—UTRGV (April 17), New Orleans (April 20-22), and Houston (April 24)—before resuming Big 12 play.

The television schedule concludes on LHN with a Tuesday night game against Texas State (May 15) before hosting No. 7 TCU in the final regular season series of the season (May 17-19).

Lowell Galindo will serve as the Texas Baseball play-by-play commentator again this season. Keith Moreland and Greg Swindell, both former Longhorns, will serve as color analysts on the telecasts.

Moreland, an outfielder, helped the Longhorns reach three consecutive College World Series, including winning the CWS in 1975. He went on to play Major League Baseball from 1978-1989, including winning a World Series with the Philadelphia Phillies in 1980. Swindell, a pitcher, played in MLB from 1986-2002, including an All-Star appearance in 1989 and a World Series title in 2001 with the Arizona Diamondbacks. At Texas, he was the 1985 Baseball America National Player of the Year, a three-time finalist for the Golden Spikes Award and helped the Longhorns reach the CWS in 1983, 1984, and 1985. Moreland had his number retired in 2010 by Texas, while Swindell, who shared the same number as Roger Clemens, was honored by the university in 2009.

Galindo, Moreland and Swindell will open the LHN schedule on Saturday, February 3, with the annual Texas Baseball Alumni Game.
