They haven't spoken to LH since he left Austin, but they continue to think UT made such an impression on him UA just has no ability to counter. I would prolly play him at safety with Foster in the nickel on passing downs and prolly as a box safety for run looks 1 Bear19 reacted to this

Sirhornsalot 11,273 Report post Posted February 5 Sounds like LH to Arkiesaw might be real. Elsewhere, an update on Derrian from his mom's social media: Saturday night Jennifer McGuire posted an update on the CaringBridge site: “Derrian is doing very good tonight. He made his momma so happy, I walked into his room to say goodnight and he was raising his arm, and leg. And those BIG!!! bright eyes was looking at me. just made my night!!!” UPDATE — Added today (Monday): “Derrian continues to fight like the champ he is. His swelling looks better today. Still following commands. He is even blinking once for yes and twice for no!! They will do a procedure in the morning to check his heart out thoroughly. So prayers that all goes well with that!!” 9 Earl Nobis Jefferson, 63_Texas_1, hornag and 6 others reacted to this

NWAHorn 312 Report post Posted February 5 On 2/2/2019 at 6:44 PM, wadster said: Why the hell would any kid live in northwest Arky over ATX? I mean seriously. I've been to XNA many times. It's actually not as bad as you'd think but it's no ATX. And play for one f the worst teams in D1 over Texas. If he's having any remote thoughts, I have to question his sanity. You got no clue about NWA. One of the fastest growing regions in the country. It's not ATX, but it's a cool place with plenty to see and do. I've lived in both places. The facilities at UA are incredible. From what I am told, Henry connected with the coaching staff from the beginning and that relationship is what made the difference. I’ll be the first to admit I know very little about Arkansas except that the tooth brush was invented there. If it had been invented anywhere else it would be named the teeth brush. I was also told the phrase “hey sis are you up?” is considered fore-play in that neck of the woods. Those two things made me realize I wouldn’t want to live there but to each his own. Sirhornsalot 11,273 Report post Posted February 5 NW and SW Arkansas are beautiful. NW - Ozarks, SW - Ouachitas. Completely different geography but both are spectacular scenery.
DisplacedTexan 48 Report post Posted February 5 NWA isn't bad at all. It sure beats all of Oklahoma and I've lived across that entire state. The university campus is nice and Dickson Street is fun for the younger crowd like myself. The area is booming as well and there is word going around that Wally World is about to begin construction on a massive corporate campus which should further drive the local economy. We are looking to buy our first home late this year and I just started a business here so it damn well better turn out to be a decent place to settle for a while. But, God knows, I'd still rather be in TEXAS! 1 Sirhornsalot reacted to this

I can't complain too much though since I am Cherokee, Creek and Seminole so I like to see the Native People taking back some of our heritage--one nickel at a time! 1 Sirhornsalot reacted to this
oldhorn2 1,030 Report post Posted February 5 actually....NW Oklahoma is beautiful....It is called green country for a reason. We had a place on Grand Lake at Grove and next to us was a 100 acre pasture with 100 head of cattle. They could not eat the grass as fast as it grew.....always belly high. I couldnt believe it......Even so it was infested with Lice, ticks, and the damndest chiggers known to man. The moral is that no matter how nice it looks....it it still full of blood suckers. 2 Sirhornsalot and DBut82 reacted to this
primal defense 3,234 Report post Posted February 5 The 10 biggest freaks in the 2019 recruiting class TYLER OWENS, S, PLANO (TEXAS) PLANO EAST Tyler Owens has the most rare combination of athleticism and physical dimensions of any prospect in the 2019 cycle. The Texas signee has multiple sub-10.5 second 100 meter times to his credit and checked in at 6-foot-2, 197 pounds with arms over 34 inches at the All-American Bowl. For reference, only six other players in San Antonio had arms longer than Owens, with all being linemen. He also ran a 4.37 second 40-yard dash and posted an incredible 11’2” broad jump at Texas’ prospect camp last summer. The number of current NFL defensive backs with arms over 34 inches who run a sub 4.4 second 40 and broad jump over 11 feet? Zero. That’s how unique Owens is from a length and athleticism perspective. In a class with a number of elite athletes, Owens shows the most signs of being a once-in-every few years type of prospect in that regard. https://247sports.com/LongFormArticle/College-football-national-signing-day-2019-biggest-freaks-128672261/#128672261_1 2 TheContractor and Sirhornsalot reacted to this
