mctmatt
Has the Off-Season Conditioning started for the current players and has anyone heard anything about it with the new staff in place. I am just a big believer that many games are won in the Off Season?
Slimer
Going to be interesting to see how attrition goes between now and summer.
longhorn_mig
I'll drop this here since it relates to the offseason. Hopefully Burt can find his way back. — Twitter API (@twitterapi) November 7, 2011 It has come to light that JR WR John Burt will not run track in 2017, and will instead focus on off-season football training. This doesn’t come as a huge surprise as it is an expected move and I was told by someone during the 2016 season that “he’s got to make a decision†on if it’ll be track or football, as it was clear to most at Texas that doing both wasn’t helping him excel much at either sport. I am looking for all our receivers to really step up in 2017 and have a great year. I am hoping the off-season can help them get bigger and stronger and they become the force on the field that we need them to be.

DBut82
Heard moved back to QB for the Spring I figured/hoped that he would. I think Heard is a great fit for Herman's offense. I said after the Herman hire not to be surprised if Heard gets a solid look at qb
dillohorn
Heard moved back to QB for the Spring Look for a lot of "loss of yardage plays" when he's in there.
mctmatt
I just do not think Herman is sold on Buechele as the QB for his offense. He wants someone that is a true running threat from my perspective. DBut82

Juan
"I was told that Malik Jefferson had the best max bench press on the team at 435 lbs which apparently even beat out Connor Williams by 20 lbs." http://texas.thefootballbrainiacs.com/2017/01/open-post-monday-january-23rd/ TeamMayhall and Bevostuntdouble

oldhorn2
If Malik can bench 435( unbelievable for his size) why does he have so much trouble shedding blocks?.I wish he would get some GOOD coaching to instill mean and motor. He ought to be throwing those O linemen around like they werent there. popdaddy

CoachEmUp64
I was at a clinic this weekend in DFW and the key note speaker talked about Yancy McKnight like he was the best thing since sliced bread. I was pretty fired up to hear the glowing report about Yancy. Based off what he was saying I think our strength program is going to see some real improvement. hornag and dillohorn

I'm looking forward to seeing how the team looks come spring. Although I will say I thought Moorer did a good job.
