I'll drop this here since it relates to the offseason. Hopefully Burt can find his way back.

It has come to light that JR WR John Burt will not run track in 2017, and will instead focus on off-season football training. This doesn’t come as a huge surprise as it is an expected move and I was told by someone during the 2016 season that “he’s got to make a decision†on if it’ll be track or football, as it was clear to most at Texas that doing both wasn’t helping him excel much at either sport.

I am looking for all our receivers to really step up in 2017 and have a great year. I am hoping the off-season can help them get bigger and stronger and they become the force on the field that we need them to be.

I was at a clinic this weekend in DFW and the key note speaker talked about Yancy McKnight like he was the best thing since sliced bread. I was pretty fired up to hear the glowing report about Yancy. Based off what he was saying I think our strength program is going to see some real improvement.

Glad to hear that.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the team looks come spring.

Although I will say I thought Moorer did a good job.
