Joshua Moore Weighs In On His Visit To Austin

2018 Yoakum twins Joshua and Jordan Moore made their way to Austin on Thursday with their parents to visit with the Texas coaches. The twins have been to campus several times this spring and summer to the point that it has almost become a second home.

Jordan was initially set to visit TCU today, but opted to make the trip to Austin with the rest of the family, which worked out just perfectly for them and the Texas coaches. Charlie Strong and his staff are big on family, so making this trip a family event worked out better for everyone.

I was able to catch up with Josh following the latest trip to Austin, and when asked how the visit went, he said, "It went great my man! It was everything I expected!"

That’s music to the ears of the Texas coaching staff. The red carpet was rolled out for the twins and their entire family, as they were able to meet with the entire staff and watch the team go through workouts. On top of meeting with the staff and observing workouts, Moore said he was able to sit in on meetings with the wide receivers, and said that he “loved it.”

While the Moores got to meet with the entire staff, there was one particular coach that he mentioned specifically that gave him a good indication on how the visit was going to go. “The best part of this visit would be just the time I got to spend with everyone. All of the coaches, all of the players, everybody!” said Moore. “The second I walked in the door I was greeted by Coach Traylor and from then on, I knew it was going to be a good trip!”

I think it is safe to say that the latest trip to the 40 was a success. With this trip to Austin in the books, Moore says he will head up to Norman and Stillwater to check out Oklahoma and Oklahoma State next before closing the book on summer visits. Moore also said he plans to be in Austin this fall to catch a few games this season.

There is still a long way to go in the recruitment for both Jordan and Josh, but I think it is safe to say that when it comes to decision time, Texas will be right in the thick of things for the studs from Yoakum. It is clear that they both love Texas plenty, and if you are the staff, you just need to stay the course and continue to strengthen the relationships.

I'll be able to provide some insight from a friend in Yoakum. He's a higher up in the Texas officiating ranks and follows those Yoakum Bulldogs religiously and has for years. He was the one who gave me some info on a WR that went to aggy from a town near Yoakum a couple years back.

It's still early, but last I talked to him he said the Moore twins were fired up about Texas.
