  1. This past weekend was a busy one for Texas commits across the state. With many high school programs entering district play, the stakes have been raised even higher for these athletes. Luckily, I was able to cover three games that featured some of these highly touted athletes in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Week Seven: Game #1: Dallas Skyline vs Keller. Last November, Quaydarius Davis decommitted from the Longhorns. In May, Davis decided to commit to Southern California. However, I was eager to see what type of talent Davis will offer the Trojans. So, I decided to cov
  2. Last Friday, I covered Austin LBJ’s game against San Antonio Cornerstone Christian. This season, Austin LBJ is led by two four-star recruits in Latrell McCutchin (Oklahoma commit) and Andrew Mukuba. Tonight at 7 P.M. (CT), Mukuba will announce his college commitment and the Longhorns are one of his finalists. Week Four: In preparation for Mukuba’s commitment, I planned on covering his game against Cornerstone Christian. In addition, I was excited to see how the versatile safety would perform against one of the better teams in the state. Last season
  3. The Longhorns were able to respond when their backs were against the wall and win 63-56 against the Red Raiders. In addition, Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger finished the game with six total touchdowns. However, Texas’s special teams had three huge mistakes that gave Texas Tech some momentum. With some luck, the Longhorns were able to overcome a 15 point deficit with just over three minutes to go in the fourth quarter. After the game, I recorded a quick reaction video to share some of my thoughts about the close contest.
  4. Today, big school football is back in the state of Texas. As a result, many Longhorns commits and targets will be starting their seasons with the hope of winning a state title. For many schools, this weekend will be used for scrimmages. However, one of this weekend’s most hyped games features three 2021 Longhorns commits. Premier Game of the Week: #1 Denton Ryan vs #11 Arlington Martin (AT&T Stadium): Denton Ryan is the state title favorite in the 5A Division I classification. Last season, the Raiders were just a play away from coming back to beat Shadow Creek in the champions
