Thats what I've been driving at. Josh White has been in play. Would be a huge flip.

Word is, there is indeed reason for hope, as Contractor earlier pointed to, with a certain 5 star DB out of Arizona. Despite his commitment elsewhere, we have remained in contact and it has to a small degree, proved fruitful. Said commit will be visiting Oregon on Oct. 11 and will visit Texas again, this time an OV.
If cards are played right, this could be the second biggest get of the class.
Right now, there's reason for hope and thats all.

Well, the 4.5 is a bit inflated (or deflated) from the 4.75 he ran at the camp in Houston this summer.
Nonetheless, I won't quibble about this. Welcome to the 40
Standings – Texas moved further away from Georgia but stayed in 5th. Still a long way from cracking the top 4 unless of course we flip the kid from Aledo, a 5-star.
Aggy is now back in 16th place because our addition was their subtraction this time. Sweet aggy tears.

Commitment 101: Texas flips four-star wide receiver Troy Omeire from Texas A&M

Advertisement Texas fans received a gift Friday morning when four-star wide receiver Troy Omeire flipped his pledge from Texas A&M to the Longhorns. It continues a trend of Tom Herman running circles around Jimbo Fisher in the 2020 recruiting class. Texas’ class now consists of 20 members and ranks fifth in the nation. Jimbo Fisher’s class now ranks 16th with 16 commitments. Herman proved the turtle can win the recruiting race.
Omeire is a  6-3.5, 210-pound product of Fort Bend Austin. He ranked 16th on the 2020 Fabulous 55. The two-time first-team all-district selection is the 32nd-ranked wide receiver in the nation, per 247Sports composite rankings. Omeire is the second wide receiver commitment in the 2020 class, joining Temple’s Quentin Johnston. Omeire originally picked Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M on June 8.
Skill set: Omeire is an athletic freak of nature. He’s still raw as a football player and wide receiver, but the physical tools are there for him to become a star in college football. Omeire already looks like a college wide receiver with plenty of bulk to handle duties outside of catching the football like blocking on the edge.
Omeire achieves success on pure athleticism and instinct. The sky’s the limit for the big wide receiver once he receives some real tutelage as the position. The big-bodied wide receiver recorded 85 catches for 1,546 yards and 21 touchdowns in his past two varsity seasons.
Immediate impact: It’s not easy for wide receivers to make an immediate impact as a true freshman, especially at one of the outside receiver positions. Even Collin Johnson struggled to see the field and find consistency early in his tenure. We watched guys like Brennan Eagles and Malcolm Epps used sparingly as true freshman despite high recruiting rankings. Omeire is likely to follow the same path as Eagles. Expect Omeire to see the field as a true freshman before making a bigger impact as he reaches his second year on campus.
Fitting into the program: It’s no secret that Tom Herman and his coaching staff own the Houston recruiting streets. That wasn’t as true in Fort Bend County, long-time Aggie country south of Houston. Omeire’s flip is a big success for Texas in many ways. One, Omeire is a fantastic player and the type of wide receiver the Longhorns love. Two, he’s a true recruiting victory over Texas A&M in Fort Bend County, home to numerous FBS athletes on a yearly basis.
Recruiting at the position: Texas didn’t need more than two wide receivers in the 2020 class and that’s exactly where the Longhorns sit after Omeire’s flip from Texas A&M. Omeire and Johnston give Texas two four-star talents with long, athletic frames. If Texas does push for a third wide receiver in the class, California product LV Bunkley-Shelton and Rockwall’s Jaxon Smith-Njigba appear to be the ones left on the radar.

Wouldn't be shocked to see more of Smith/Duvernay motioning to the backfield and catching a swing pass or running the ball.

Mike Leach has done it for years, uses the short passing game as the run game. Though recently he has Incorporated the RBs in the short passing game as well.
Texas did it on Saturday with the bubble screens to Duvernay.

I've never played running back in my life. I'm 43 years old with a bad knee and bunions BUT I do have college eligibility remaining and apparently our RB room needs all the help it can get!  GEEZ! Put me in coach!

Jordan is an unknown. Kate's made an appearance for him, but last I heard his mom was sick and unfortunately the "C" word is involved. When things are better, he'll pull the trigger. Just don't know when that will be. He is doing the right thing though.
Collins, I've heard, is having second thoughts about extending the recruitment. So it could happen tomorrow. Next week. Next month. I just haven't heard any more than that.

Agree. Last time I felt any conference loyalty was the old Southwest Conference. As far as the Big 12 is concerned, every one of those bastards can lose every week as far as I'm concerned.

Except the Sooners. They can lose twice weekly.

Hoping Kyle Porter torches the Sooners defense tonight. All the locals say I’m crappy because I don’t cheer for the conference but I can’t with the Sooners. Just can’t.

From someone who is in attendance at the game tonight, Collins getting a lot of hugs and attention from the coaching staff. Seems to think he commited to the good guys. We'll see if any truth to it!
