  3. Marquez Beason has let me know he couldn't make it today, but plans to hit up Texas some time soon.
  4. Texas is hosting a big weekend with a lot of the top talent and key targets Texas is recruiting in the 2018 and 2019 class. I don't need to emphasis how important it is to be getting these guys on campus. I wouldn't expect any commitments coming out of the weekend; however, this should solidify some guys who may have thought about looking elsewhere and bring in guys who may not have been as high as Texas before. By the way... I hear the team is going swimming 2018 BJ Foster (5-star S, Angleton) Texas Anthony Cook (5-star CB, Houston Lamar) Brennan Eagles (5-star WR, Alief Taylor) July 17th Cameron Rising (4-star QB - Newberry Park (CA)) Texas Casey Thompson (4-star QB, Newcastle (OK)) - Texas DeMarvion Overshown (4-star S, Arp) Texas Jalen Green (4-star CB, Houston Heights) Jaylen Waddle (4-star WR, Bellaire Episcopal) Al’vonte Woodard (4-star WR, Houston Lamar) July 15th D’shawn Jamison (4-star CB, Houston Lamar) Keondre Coburn (4-star DT, Houston Westfield) Tommy Bush (4-star WR, Schertz Clemens) Jordan Moore (4-star S, Yoakum) Texas A&M Dominick Wood-Anderson (4-star TE, Arizona Western College) Byron Hobbs (3-star OLB, Fort Worth Eastern Hills) Texas Reese Moore (3-star OL, Seminole) Texas Rondale Moore (3-star WR, Louisville Trinity (KY)) Cameron Dicker (3-star K, Lake Travis) Texas Cameron Wire (3-star OT, East Ascension (LA)) LSU 2019 Brian Williams (5-star S, Bishop Dunne) Jordan Whittington (4-star WR, Cuero) Roschon Johnson (4-star QB, Port Neches-Groves) Marcus Stripling (4-star SDE, Mayde Creek) Marcel Brooks (4-star OLB, Flower Mound) Marquez Beason (4-star ATH, Bishop Dunne) Marcus Banks (4-star CB, Dekaney)
  5. 4th and 5's Will Baizer and Joe Cook bring on Allen Kenney of BlatantHomerism to discuss the aftermath of Bob Stoops retiring and handing over the keys to Lincoln Riley. Where is the pressure now and what does it mean for Tom Herman. Also they get into a bit of recruiting as the Opening release their teams and baseball as Texas loses quite a few important players to the MLB.
  6. 4th and 5 comes back from their 2 week hiatus with HornSports' Will Baizer and InsideTexas' Joe Cook discussing everything that has happened within that two week period. This includes, but is not limited to: - 4 commitments boosting Texas' class from #10 to #3 in the nation - Controversial action to allow Reese Leitao onto the team - Texas baseball's season ending in upsetting fashion - Will getting mixed up in some crazy business overseas
  7. Texas now has 3 of the top 9 safeties in the country, and that could become 3 of the top 5 soon enough. Texas has had 4 commitments in the past week, averaging 0.9500 composite. Be excited. Be very excited.
  8. It has been reported that Erick Fowler is no longer on the team. First reported by Eric Nahlin of InsideTexas. The AD could not confirm the dismissal of Erick Fowler at this time. If true: Another big loss of the Texas defensive depth chart with the loss of Erick Fowler. He was quite talented. He was playing ILB and had a shot at having a good amount of playing time. The new trio at ILB will likely be Wheeler, Johnson, and Hager. For those who remember the 2016 cycle, Erick Fowler barely made it to campus, and it was a small miracle that he did. Reports coming out state that he was unreliable, meaning always late and missing events.
  9. While it has been reported elsewhere, the AD has not confirmed the dismissal.
  10. High 4 start 2019 RB out of NC http://247sports.com/Player/Quavaris-Crouch-92997
  11. We're doing our best to confirm this. However, I wouldn't be too surprised. It was pretty crazy he got in last year if y'all remember.
  12. There is a presser for Shaka Smart today. That means the paperwork is most likely already in hand. For Shaka Smart to go from the worst season in a long time at Texas to one of the top (if not the top) class in history of Texas cannot be understated. This was a big hole for Texas with the departure of Allen, so this win was crucial. Shaka was a bit upset with his players last season towards the end. Now it looks like he's getting his guys and is sitting pretty.
  13. Per the Texas Athletic Department: Longhorn junior safety P.J. Locke III underwent successful surgery on Wednesday in Philadelphia to repair an athletic pubalgia (“sports hernia”) injury sustained this spring. Locke, who started nine games last season, is expected to undergo rehabilitation of the injury for four to six weeks before returning to off-season workouts this summer.
  14. Myself and Joe Cook bring on a very special guest in the form of the Longhorns' newest commit and #4 rated DB in the nation, Caden Sterns. Caden was about as solid as you could be to a school in LSU, but after a trip to Austin everything was flipped on its head, including his commitment. We bring him on to talk why he flipped to Texas and then what it means going forward for the Longhorns' 2018 recruiting class. This post has been promoted to an article
  15. Thanks man. I appreciate the feed back! I've never thought about the hosting the talk show for an hour difficult. It was at one point, but now I'm used to it. It's nice when there is plenty to talk about. The difficulty would be doing it alone. I've tried that (with the Steve Patterson info bomb I dropped way back when), but that show was atrocious.
  16. Caden Sterns is one of my favorite players in the class, beyond what he can do on the field. I'm just excited I now have a legit reason to cover the dude since I was planning on headed there Thursday. If you haven't watched his highlights, do yourself a favor
  17. Yay! Texas is aligned and cares about ST now. I bet Cameron will look great in #99
  18. Our Will Baizer and InsideTexas.com's Joe Cook are back at it after traveling all over the state of Texas to chat with some of the top Texas targets. However, before they give you the scoop on who Texas is targeting and what they've seen on the trail, they cover some of the bigger stories going on like the transfer of Peyton Aucoin, the drafting of D'Onta Foreman, and the crazy momentum Texas has in recruiting and where it is coming from.
  19. Todd Orlando is out at Nolan Catholic today to watch Nana Osafo-Mensah. No offer yet, but I'd expect it. http://247sports.com/player/nana-osafo-mensah-46037456
