  1. Daniel, you will do as well with BON as you have here. We all make changes in our careers and those changes always wind up for the better. This is a classy little site with good people in it. You will find BON to be the same. Good luck.
  2. He is still going to have to beat out Roschon and/or Thompson.
  3. I know this means something, but I'm not quite sure what it is.
  4. What I like about this site is the quality of the posters. I'm on most Longhorn sites where I can bring out my alter ego asshole persona. And, believe me, posters on those sites will happily confirm this. I have little tolerance for arrogance and condescension from posters or mods and this is where I get into trouble. So this is the only site where I reveal what little behind the scenes info I get. For whatever it's worth.
  5. Chase is good, but I don't think he is any better than Reager (sp.?) at TCU.
  6. Keep in mind, everything I have reported is 3rd hand at best. But, so far, the info I have gotten over the years has been pretty accurate. At least when they are semi-sober and have not totally gone into embellishment.
  7. The exciting thing about Epps is he will be a 6'7" WR that weighs in the neighborhood of 250 lbs. and he can run and he can catch. He is, literally, a freak. He has all the measurements of a TE but he will be playing as a WR - not sure where yet. He is going to be scaring the crap out of some CB's.
  8. Sometimes the little people would like a little more than the usual coach speak. Although it is too damn hot to play 18 holes, we can get in nine then regroup back at the clubhouse to sip a few adult beverages and cool down. This is where I hear the good stuff - sometimes. Herman chasing Orlando down the hall was a stretch, IMO, and maybe a little wishful thinking. Suffice it to say Orlando and Herman are very pleased with how the defense is shaping up. Even with the lack of overall experience. Both believe the huge talent mitigates the inexperience. LSU will put that to the test.
  9. Busted. I meant the DC. I will change it.
  10. I'm sorry - got distracted before I could finish. I have been told that the coaches are beyond thrilled with our offensive possibilities. There sre some kids that have and are performing beyond their expectations. They are Epps (the coaches are GaGa over this kid and he is and has performed beyond their expectations), Ingram and Whittington (Herman says they are the best two running backs he has ever seen and that includes tOSU), Smith (they don't think he can be covered. Period). And, finally, Ehlinger (he has blown the coaches away this year). a Now let me say this. This info is coming from the coaches who are conservative even among themselves. It's inbred. No coach wants to stick their neck out even among themselves. Oh, by-the-way they are super hyper about the defense. Supposedly, after one practice, Herman chased the DC down the hall, pinned him against the wall and kissed him on the head. That's a really good sign and all of it is a good sign to get high about your Horns. It's going to be a good year, my friends. Drink that damned kool aid. EDIT: One more thing. Herman thinks our OL is as good or better than the OL when he was at tOSU.
  11. Ya'll want a little good news? It's not about recruiting.
  12. I'll just say aggy and the SEC and leave it at that.
  13. Sometimes being stupidly cryptic is the best answer. I hate it when mods do it, but they usually do it for clicks. In my case it's because I got a whiff of something that I don't think is locked down. Daniel seems to be a straight shooter and I like that. So far what he has said and predicted aligns a lot with the little info I can glean out of my drunken friends. By-the-way, I don't like what has been going on with Broughten. It's bush league and totally unnecessary. And I don't like the aroma of it all.
  14. I was once privileged to watch a couple of these so called "divas" first introduction to the teams seniors. Things got straightened out in a hurry.
  15. What if I told you that you don't know squat?
  16. So. who are ya'll calling for Broughton? aggy? Horns?
  17. I wouldn't say UTEP, but aggy, UH and Arky are about the same kind of ilk.
  18. I'm just too much of an opinionated old fart to make many friends on sports boards. IT and OB appears to be similar in that they are overrun with lawyers and their little tailgate get togethers become clannish and arrogant. And arrogance and condescension are the two things that light my fire. I should admit that both my daughter and son-in-law are (gulp) aggie grads. And, yes, I threatened to cut her out of my will but Mom stepped in and straightened me out. Plus aggy has one of the best vet schools in the nation and that is what she and he wound up being. They own their own clinic now. In addition, my brother is a UT lawyer practicing in Houston. and his firm is on retainer for my clinic. It is a weird and complex world but all I know is I am a Longhorn to the bone and always will be.
  19. Latech is going to get sick of Ingram and Smith. 54 - 10 Horns
