A day after securing a commitment from 4-star linebacker Kosi Okpala, Steve Sarkisian and Kyle Flood claimed victory in the recruiting battle for 4-star North Crowley (Fort Worth) offensive lineman John Turntine’s services.
Turntine’s commitment cannot be characterized as anything but massive for the Longhorns, as he is ranked the third best player in the state of Texas and the third best interior offensive lineman in the country according to the 247Sports Composite Recruiting Rankings.
Turntine held offers from more than 30 programs, including Ohio State, Florida, Oregon, LSU, Tennessee, Michigan, Alabama, Texas A&M and Oklahoma among others. He becomes the 17th commit in Texas’ 2026 recruiting class and joins Nicolas Robertson as the second interior lineman in the class.
