Look at it this way. There’s hope for all of us.

Very sad. I've had JLJ on my FB friends list. Some of his posts were heartbreaking in the last year or so. God bless him.

Best way to get last weekend in the rear view mirror. A nice smooth 17 spot

Texas Southern historically has the worst uniforms in baseball. But at least they aren’t wearing white pants on the road.

I could be wrong, but this smells like something may be cooking here. Something Kate likes.

Per 24/7, Ringo may spend the majority of his Spring Break in ATX. Currently does not have a return flight scheduled and Mom will be joining him.

Owens ran a 10.29. That's Jamal Charles fast in a much bigger frame. Holy smokes. He and Adimora could be as good as Sterns and Foster. https://twitter.com/TTFCA/status/1105797182203052037/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1105797182203052037&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.surlyhorns.com%2Fboard%2Findex.php%3Fapp%3Dcore%26module%3Dsystem%26controller%3Dembed%26url%3Dhttps%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2FTTFCA%2Fstatus%2F1105797182203052037

College football's 10 most electrifying players in 2019 BRU MCCOY, WR, TEXAS (Photo: 247Sports) The McCoy file: The only true freshman in this list, McCoy will be a major part of the Longhorns' passing game in 2019 as a high-profile five-star facing great expectations at wideout. The No. 9 overall prospect in the 2019 recruiting cycle per the 247Sports Composite, McCoy hasn't yet been granted a waiver to play immediately at Texas after transferring from USC — where he initially signed. The nation's top-ranked player at the athlete spot, McCoy's versatility should pay immediate dividends at the X position and he'll get plenty of early opportunities in single coverage as a big, physical threat https://247sports.com/LongFormArticle/College-football-most-electrifying-players-in-2019-130012959/#130012959_2

10 College Football Teams That Are One Piece Away from Making the CFB Playoff Texas Longhorns: Playmaking Linebacker 2 OF 10 Rusty Costanza/Associated Press A bumpy 2017 season paid off with a breakout 2018 campaign for head coach Tom Herman and the Texas Longhorns. Expectations are high in 2019 after the program showed significant growth on the field and hauled in a great recruiting class (third nationally). The stars may be aligning for a championship run this season. Before getting too far, though, the Longhorns are returning just eight starters on defense. Losing their three leading tacklers from last year creates a void in the middle. Texas' one missing piece entering 2019 is a playmaking linebacker. Both Gary Johnson and Anthony Wheeler anchored a solid unit last year and racked up some terrific production. They combined for 177 tackles, 25 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks. But their replacements are almost complete unknowns. Junior college transfer Caleb Johnson will be given priority to make an impact along with other recent recruits. The group of Johnson, Ayodele Adeoye, DeMarvion Overshown and early enrollees De'Gabriel Floyd and Marcus Tillman Jr. should produce a worthwhile rotation just based on their athleticism and football pedigrees. If one can emerge as a worthy heir as a playmaking linebacker, Texas will be a force in the Big 12. With so many talented options, it's a safe bet the Longhorns will find this missing piece https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2824902-10-college-football-teams-that-are-one-piece-away-from-making-the-cfb-playoff#slide2

Coaches agreed to a mercy rule and it leads to a shortened 7-inning game tonight. Horns take it easily.

B5 Horns add one in the 5th, but leave 2 RISP Horns up 10-1 thru 5

    Another Shaka shitshow

At this point the only thing I care about basketball is that it gets the hell over so that Craig can be on the baseball call the rest of the way... although Tom and Roger have done a decent job.

    Texas Baseball in the Polls

I really think that’s about right, with the caveat being that McCann gets back relatively soon. I’m not sold at all on the freshman catcher. Need to win 2 out of 3 this weekend against Tech especially at home.

    Remember . . . .

Vietnam. I will never understand why we fought a war on their terms, rather than on ours. I always thought we should have used our strengths: technology, superior weaponry, and air power to fight. Friends of mine never came back from SE Asia. As an adult I have a friend married to a man who is Vietnamese. He fought for the South with the Americans. At 14, he was the lone survivor of one of our helicopter crashes. He continued to fight, and was on one of the last choppers out of our Embassy. With the exception of one brother, the rest of his family came over on boats. The brother, afraid of water, walked out, and was captured multiple times. Each time his brother, already here, would send cartons of cigarettes, and he would trade them for his freedom. Amazing that they all made it. Oh, the mother had holes drilled in her teeth to hide diamonds for their fresh start in the US. Anything one carried made that person a target on the boats. Thank you, dillo.
