What team was the best team the Longhorns have ever defeated? I would imagine many would say USC 2005 and if that's the overwhelming choice, then which team was the next best team the Longhorns have ever defeated?

I went to both of those games. I felt like winning the 1st Rose Bowl game set the stage for that next season. They went toe to toe with Michigan and came from behind to win. They showed the kind of heart that I hadn’t seen from the Horns in years. Yeah, I sat in the Cotton Bowl through some of those beat downs from ou. They finally had the cojones and you knew that the next season would be special. Great memories!

It’s gotta be that USC team. If Texas lost, most would put that team neck and neck with the Miami team from earlier that decade as the most talented and best team.

They had USC above that Miami team already. Then when Texas won, Miami all of a sudden became the beat ever.
