The Dallas Cowboys have been one team at home and another on the road. One set of stats points this out more than any I have seen.
At Home the Cowboys have allowed 5 sacks in 203 plays. That stat lead the NFL.
On the Road the same Cowboys have allowed 20 sacks in 254 plays. That would be the 5th worst in the league.
One of the problems is the Cowboys run the ball at home and pass more on the road. Stats show the offense runs on first down roughly 59% of the time at home and less than 50% on the road. When team believe you will abandon he run, they stack the defense to stop the run and make you go pass crazy. Instead of running consistently Garrett continues to pass at an amazing rate..
Look at these numbers from the last four games.
Arizona ..on road...Romo throws 42 passes
Miami...at home...Romo throws 34 passes
Wash..on road..Romo throws 37 passes
Buffalo..at home..Romo throws 26 passes
While they might not appear significant, the difference is -19 difference between run to pass on the road, compared to at home and that is only a four game window.
I have to admit I have never been a fan of Red Jesus but I am quickly becoming convinced he is the one of the main problems.
