As mentioned in a previous Crossfire, UH shooting guard Danuel House was looking to transfer if UH head coach James Dickey did  not return.

House's initial transfer request has been denied by UH.  House will appeaal the decsion.

House is close to Turner & Taylor and would fill a offensive void for an outside shoooter that Texas lacks at this time.

Stay tuned.............

Somebody remind me how this works,  If he were given a release from Houston, does he have to sit out for a year?  If he is denied a release, he has to sit out and pay his own expenses for one year, two years?

Postscript - I was reading the article on this on the Houston Chronicles web site here,  http://m.chron.com/sports/cougars/article/Two-Cougars-request-to-transfer-5393874.php?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter.  I vaguely remember his recruitment, but I did not remember anything regarding details.  He is a 6'-7" shooting guard.  Looking at the photos accompanying the article, he is not just 6'-7", he is also pretty stout, which makes me wonder if he is really more of a forward with good guard skills.  I do not know, but I would be happy to be enlightened by anybody who does.  He was apparently the number fifteen rated recruit the year he came out of high school.  Does anybody remember whether he projected any kind of attitude during his recruitment?  Whatever the case may be, a stout 6'-7" three that has a good handle is pretty hard to come by, not to mention a 6'-7" stout shooting guard.  It will be interesting to see how this develops.  Seems like that there would be no way that he would be available next year, but if he were available for the next year, seems like he could be a part of a pretty good roster.  This is his stat line from this past season:
