They hired a "Director of Decision Sciences" to help them become a data-oriented ball club. Sig Mejdal is basically a statistiocal analyst who will use data from all the scouting, minor league, contracts, pitching & hitting, etc.... to make better decisions for the Astros. WHAT? This makes no damn sense whatsoever. Good luck - especially with the ball club they have now. This is ridiculous!
