Ok boys and girls, we have a rather large series facing us this weekend. Conference-leading Oklahoma State is in town for three, starting tonight at 7 PM CST.
Texas is 2-games behind Ok. St. in the standings.
Ok. St. is ranked as follows:
9-NCBWA
14-Collegiate Baseball
15-USA Today
21-Perfect Game & Baseball America
Ok St. is coming off of a 3-game series sweep of Kansas in Stillwater, and a Tuesday 15-8 loss to UR Oral Roberts.
Probable Starting Pitchers
Jr. RHP Jon Perrin (5-2, 2.11) vs. Jr. RHP Parker French (4-3, 2.27)
Fr. RHP Tyler Buffett (2-1, 1.85) vs. Jr. LHP Dillon Peters (5-3, 2.70)
TBA vs. Sr. RHP Nathan Thornhill (6-1, 0.97)
Tonight's Ok St starter, Perrin, began the season in the pen, but was moved to Friday starter in mid-March. He lost games against Baylor & TCU, but has won his last 3 starts, giving up one run in his last 21.1 innings. Of note, he threw 130-pitches in a complete-game, 9K 6-hit shutout last Friday against Kansas. I don't see that trend continuing tonight. I see a letdown game in my crystal ball.
I'll put up the lineup card when it's available.
Another note: I'll be at my son's HS game which starts at 6PM CST. I'll probably pick up with some PBP later on after the game. I will be watching, but will only be posting from the mobile site.
Hook Em, and let's get after the pokes. Get to this guy early, and I think we're in for a good night.
