This is obviously good news for traditionalists, but wouldn't a late season match-up with OU be better for us with the new CFB Playoff?  It would be a more than adequate substitute for a Big12 Championship game, since it's been the de facto championship for years.  Yeah, I know it's blasphemy to think and speak this way.  But, maybe a home & home series will be better for us long-term?

What do y'all think?

I would like that. Play the game at end of season and prefer home and home series.

Is this rivalry more Michigan/Notre Dame (it's usually played during the 2nd game of the season, although I think rivalry ends after this coming season)?

Michigan/Ohio State, which is the last game of season?

Florida/Georgia, played middle of season in Jacksonville?

I'm surprised OU and the state of OK continues to go along with this arrangement.

City of Dallas and TX State Fair must be making it worth their while to sacrifice a marquee home game.  I'd love to see the financials on TX-OU versus what we pull down at home for a sell-out.

two things. Thank God there's still some traditions left in college football. Secondly, if both schools are signing off on it  for another decade, you can bet they've crunched the numbers and the deal's a winner.

I would like to have a rivalry game at the end of the season, but I prefer the Texas-OU game where and when it is.

There are very few atmospheres like it in college football. I love it at the Cotton Bowl, my daughter and her hubby love it at the Cotton Bowl, and many others in the younger generations do, as well.

Before casting a vote for a home & home, consider the recruiting ramifications of playing in Dallas?

Love it...no place I'd rather be mid October than sipping on a wax cup beer at 7 in the morning!!!

Although I like the thought of home to home.... you just can't mess with something that has become a part of life in October.

You people asking for a home and home, have you ever been to the game in Dallas? Have you gone and experienced the atmosphere? How many other big time rivalry games have you been to?

Texas and OU have a unique situation at the State Fair of Texas. Every on air Talent, Coach, Player, media honk on their first visit to the game just gushes over the Gameday atmosphere!

Go home and home and we lose that! Yes, we have Austin and they're stuck with Norman but we will always have Austin. We should never lose the recruiting edge that game gives us.

For those of you wanting another game in Austin because it may be more convienant for you, well, who's not looking towards the long term?

Not about the money. . . .

It's their signature Texas recruiting game. . . .

Going home and home reducing their recruiting footprint in Texas . ..
