texas interested in ohio st's AD

I believe Nick Saban would behead Bohls at his introductory presser as a warning to others....

RT @OSU_AD: ... Reports of me interviewing at the University of Texas are inaccurate.

Thank you and Go Bucks!

Soooo....a bullshit Kirk Bohl's story with no reputable sources? Imagine that...

The whole tweet RT @OSU_AD: I'm staying at Ohio State. I have the greatest respect for the University of Texas and one of my mentors, DeLoss Dodds. Reports of me interviewing at the University of Texas are inaccurate.

Thank you and Go Bucks!

This doesn't discredit Bohls's statement.

Edit: Even him saying I'm not going anywhere doesn't discredit statement. All Bohls needs to hear is someone inside Bellmont say a name of a possible interest (person to research, look into, etc.).

Sounds like Bohls-shat to me though!

Laughable that a program like UT would hire an executive search firm to fill its AD position. Really? Why pay a commission when you should already have a network of qualified candidates? Powers and the BOR should already know who is desirable and a good fit for Texas.

Maybe Bellmont is an even bigger Clown Show than I thought...

2 OS's have already put it out today that the AD search will be over by this Tuesday.

Bohls has forgotten more of his Journalism degree than I have. 2 sides or sources to every story, not just the one you want to run with.

I don't like the process much either, but an executive search firm is pretty much mandatory in this situation given the stakes. There are a lot of other moving parts besides just tapping your favorite candidate all along on the shoulder. Managing the process, deniability, vetting and background etc etc. And every once in awhile these firms actually come up with some good candidates.
