Colleyville Heritage K Max Allan announced via Twitter he would be continuing his career at Texas. It will be as a walk on from what we can see. Here's some footage.

Kickers have really screwed up the works this season. Is a walk on really the answer?

Won a NC with a walk on kicker. Still would like to see us recruit a scholarship PK though. Of

course this guy could be just as good as a scholy kicker. Nic Jordan has a scholarship I believe and he hasn't stepped up thus far.

Jordan is grajeeatin'. With our limited number of schollies available this cycle it would be hard to use one on a kicker. When we have more, sure, let's offer a gooder.

With as many games that have come down to a critical fg for the Horns in the last 45 years it is well worth a scholly. I'd be offering one to the best kicker in the country. I'm not saying this kid isn't good, but I am saying that in this critical position a scholly is not a waste.

Agreed Dillo. We've witnessed first hand the last two years, just how important a quality kicker is. Hopefully the kid can compete.
