Love what I’ve seen from this team so far, and granted, it’s a limited sample.
As the 8th demonstrated, there are some fundamentals to work on, but the pitching, overall, was good to very good. I don’t know about our depth, and I’m certain one of you can weigh in on that.
The problems in the 8th is probably due to the same bug that bit the players who fell over the fence. Early springitis. Haven’t heard of it? It’s a real condition. Just ask Joey.
I really like our hitters. It seems that we have enough throughout the lineup to cause some real damage.
My wish? A closer like Huston Street-he had a presence like few I’ve seen, and when he came in, he elevated the team as a whole.
